It's a lovely place. Nice people, make you feel welcome however I wish their customers would look after their own kids so that other customers can have a quiet drink. Usually there is a rule where children have to be out at a certain time. We sat in garden, kids outside and parents inside bedlam till 9.30pm. Wrong.

The pub look's imposing from the outside but once inside it's very homely. We've had nothing but good honest food from here. The pie is recommended and the home cooked chip's are morish. 5 stars for the money.

Limited menu. Cheap enough but you get what you pay for really, very basic and nothing to write home about, the sort of grub you can knock up yourself with a trip to Lidl and 20mins in the oven. Drinks were as to be expected. Dog friendly but be prepared to feel a little uncomfortable if you take man's best friend with you, not a terribly welcoming pub or staff.
