Food here is home cooked and delicious and good value for money!! They even manage to make gluten free meals when asked prior to arriving I think that's really good. The  staff are always friendly and helpful too.

Had a lovely meal with my wife and daughter on saturday afternoon. Service was excellent and staff were extremely friendly. Prices were also very reasonable. We will definitely be returning.

Staying at leven and looked at reviews for this pub and they were good so went for a meal on Saturday 27th. Staff nice and friendly, but the food wasn't up to much, my husband had surf and turf, asked for it medium rare, it came more medium to well. They had no peas!!! So offered broccoli or carrots. They forgot the onions rings so we asked for those. There was no mushroom on the plate either. It wasn't presented very well either and it was £15! I had chicken that was chicken that was meant to be wrapped in bacon with melted brie brie on the top. The chicken was tough and the bacon was just put on the top and so was the cheese which wasn't melted!. My brother had chicken and ribs, his chicken was tough but his ribs were nice  my sister in-law had the best meal, she had a chicken burger which was presented nicely and it was one of the cheaper meals! We should have complained but it seemed they were in a rush to get tidied up and get off home as the restaurant cloed at 9pm and we went in at 8.15pm. it's a shame as it's a nice pub and it's not hard to  prepare 4 meals to a goo standard, we won't eat there again.

Most enjoyable stay. Beautiful pub and excellent food, very comfortable accommodation and unbeatable young couple for their hospitality and knowledge of the long history of this delightful, beautifully preserved coach house hotel.
