Love this place from the minute you arrive you are made to feel welcome. Staff are very friendly and deliver the best service. Food is amazing along with gorgeous fine wines. The atmosphere is uplifting and you feel relaxed. Even our four legged friends can join us here. A great place to visit for any occasion.

Enjoyed a tasty breakfast in the Salty Dog. As it is a dog friendly bistro, we brought our four legged friends with us and we're greeted with friendly helpful staff who looked after us that morning. I ordered a large fry which included tea/coffee with unlimited refills and my wife choose an omlette. Both meals had large generous portions and tasted great. For dog owners, this is a great bistro to visit and we'll definitely come back.

Disappointing. We were in for lunch today-four adults and three children. Main course off the Sunday lunch menu food was ok but the chorizo cake was really greasy. £18 was steep! Kids food was average. Shame there was no extras for the kids, we don’t eat out much but when we do the kids love when the get to colour in or free ice-cream. Those small things make little ones very happy. I love that you can bring your dog into the bar area but unfortunately there were two very unhappy dogs in who were aggressively barking at any other dog that came in. The crazy barking continued all through our £80 lunch. You could see that customers were getting a bit annoyed but the staff didn’t say anything. Shame.

I love the Salty Dog have been so many times and have always had a lovely meal. The food is first class and inside in nice and cosy and all the staff are lovely. It is great the way you can bring your dog too and the salty dog is so clean everything is spotless and they are so accommodating to your dog. Can't fault this place at all it is the best bar / restaurant in Bangor - keep up the great work guys.

Great meal in comfortable and stylish environment. Menu was comprehensive and all food was well prepared - portions were very large but not necessarily a criticism ;). Service was excellent and attentive. Only consideration is that it is dog-friendly and did well be during underneath tables in some cases - didn't bother me but may bother some.
