A very nice spot on Bangor seafront. The menu wouldn't be the most expensive but reasonably up there. The range of dishes is what's great here. A few unique options and far more things to consider vs every other cafe's fry/toast/avacado. We've been back a few times since and would definitely recommend the shakshouka.nnThe portion sizes are generous. Pretty filling and the quality of the food is nice. Well cooked and presented.nnThe staff were helpful enough and were seen making additional efforts for parties arriving with children or prams - a lost art nowadays! The place is very tight just given the small size of it. It didn't bother us but if you don't do well in tighter spaces, or with other customers sitting really close to you then just something to bear in mind.nnYou'll probably be best parking at the marina or Pickie and walking across. Both free so not an issue.
Gulliemot Café is a gem! It's busy and compact, but the food is fantastic and priced just right. A great spot for a delicious meal without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!
We went to this cafe twice today. First time was for second breakfast. Hubby had eggs florentine and I had the wonderfully named ‘dirty delicious breakfast bap’ which lived up to its name, I can tell you. Both were wonderful and the coffee was fab. The second visit was at 4pm for a snack before we went home. Hubby had the chicken sesame wrap which was packed full of flavour and he loved it. Meanwhile, I had the best scone of my life so far - blackberry, almond and vanilla. Glorious! More like a cake than a scone, and a proper treat. This is a wonderful cafe and the food and drink are excellent. Don’t miss it!
This is truly an amazing establishment. It certainly deserves greater recognition, as this hidden treasure is simply remarkable. If you are seeking a place with a wonderful atmosphere, exceptionally friendly staff, and outstanding cheese and wine, I highly recommend giving it a try. I am confident you will not be disappointed.
Came here for the first time only recently, even though I’m a native Bangorian. Ate at both the restaurant and the cafe and both times the food and service was superb.nIt was also a massive breath of fresh air that the cafe had rock music on low in the background, sick of hearing Taylor Swift in every establishment I go into nHad the French toast with bacon and maple syrup and it was, hands down, the best breakfast I’ve ever had. My mum also spent the entire time eyeing all the jams, chutneys and vinegars while we ate and I’m pretty sure she’d rob the place if she thought she could get away with it nAmazing experience and will definitely be back
