The Wheathill, a new and exciting restaurant for those who want a little extra from an affordable dining experience in Bangor. In a relaxed, friendly atmosphere you can sit back, relax and simply indulge in good food.

With a modern twist on traditional dishes using local produce, expect to find an original menu, sociable atmosphere and welcoming staff to complete your visit and ensure your return.

We eagerly await our chance to show Bangor something fresh and exciting, that will appeal to all ages, who appreciate food as passionately as we do.

Welcomed by friendly staff, seated immediately. Prompt efficient service. Disappointed that one of the specials was not available but to be fair we had a late sitting, 2030hrs. Saying that the meal was superb. Service was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Could not fault the restaurant in any way. Overall a brilliant meal and enjoyable evening. Reasonably priced as well. Will be back.
Partner and I celebrated our silver anniversary at The Wheathill. So glad we did. We had a terrific lunch. Everything we had was delicious. Towards the end of our main course, a lady walked in with a large bunch of flowers. No idea they were for us. From our very good friend who lives just outside Cork. Once the very friendly staff knew it was our anniversary, we given two glasses of their excellent Prosecco. A table next to us kindly bought us s drink. All in all, we had the best time largely thanks to their food and friendliness. I highly recommend this restaurant. They helped to make our day that extra bit special. Mike and Mark thank you and we'll definitely be back.
We booked well in advance and arrived early, only a few diners in before our party of five. Drinks order taken and delivered quickly food order taken and starters arrived in good time, main course followed in good time and that is when it all ended. Totally ignored for the rest of the time we were there other than asking for one more bottle of cider which took forty minutes to arrive, we gave up, my daughter and her boyfriend left to get an ice cream elsewhere and we paid the bill and left which is a shame as the food was good if a bit expensive but the restaurant missed out on coffees and desserts, staff were friendly but need better training, having said that the manager didn't bother walking around to ask diners if they needed anything.
A local favourite of mine. Fantastic food. Friendly staff. Owners really passionate about good food. Recently Nov 2016 listed in the Michelin guide. Well deserved. Nice wine selection and superb ingredients.
Very nice, different menu choices which was great. Only complaint £7.50 for a cocktail with 4 big ice cubes in a small glass, so not much liquid left to drink. Less ice and a bigger glass would be better.
Had to ask several times for drinks, didn't arrive until mains not even water. Risotto had too much heavy cream and was a soupy consistency nearly had to ask for a spoon to eat it. Cheese board was boring and scarce. Sad as I had high expectations for my anniversary meal. On the bright side the wine was great!!
Excellent food. Had some concerns re wine being corked. They happily admitted it was and kindly replaced it. Unfortunately not free of charge! Have been quite a few times how, food great however £280 For 4 quite expensive
Really good food and service in nice surroundings. Not low priced but really competitively priced for the quality/standard and decent portions compared to the "artistic" helpings you get in some quality restaurants. I would definitely recommend it.
Good very nice. Service fine. Portions tiny. Prices high. A bit too noisy for a romantic meal. Not for us.
Stunning food and service. They made me a vegan meal, which was the best vegan meal I've ever had. Can't wait to come back.
