Great local place.nIncredible cozy atmosphere in rainy weather is perfect for hot soup! Nicly decorated for winter season.nnThe clam chowder was very much tasty!nnRest was okay , seems as made without love, but with spices. I wouldn’t recommend Irish coffee here.nnService was fine, many stuff who time to time come to ask your opinion
Called in here as it was the closest to where we were staying, so glad we did. I had sirloin steak on the bone medium-perfectly cooked, with chips, tomatoes, onion rings, mushroom and pepper sauce. My wife had a burger and my son had the chicken burger, The food was delicious and we can't wait to eat here again. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pints of Beamish were also superb.
Great value food and large portions.nnFree kids meal with every adult meal max 2 kids Monday to Thursday 12:00 -19:00 excluding public holidays.nnThis is a nice spot by the sea. The food is good value when you see how large the portions are and it is even better value if you go with kids during the defined hours of the deal.
Consistent excellence! I have been going to the Jamaica Inn for many years and have ALWAYS been impressed by the quality of the food and the friendliness of their staff. From the wintertime warm and cosy atmosphere to the summertime outdoor patio overlooking the Belfast Lough, it is a brilliant set-up whatever the season. You could go and have a table on your own or else bring a group of 10; I have seen both perfectly accommodated. I discovered their kids menu a few weeks ago and I was struck to find the same seafood chowder they would serve to adults, with smaller bits: the exact same brilliant taste and quality! Perfect to wake smaller taste buds up to proper food! And I should add that I write as a Frenchman, seldom impressed by cuisine creativity overall on this side of the Channel: they have managed to combine authentic taste of quality ingredients and their personal creative touch, bringing the typical gastro-pub dishes to perfection with a touch of Asian fusion, all the while serving generous portions at a decent price. Congratulations to the staff, floor and kitchen, and let management keep the ship on the same route; it has been a brilliant journey so far. Keep up the good work! And merry Christmas to all.
Nearly always 10/10 for food. Although can look free at times they have a booking system so I would definitely recommend booking online. I appreciate tables are reserved and kept, never a wait. Online booking easy to use!nWe have shown up twice with no reservation. Once they were able to accommodate a small table & the other not which is completely fair.nHave always been very accommodating with requests!nWouldn't be as fussed on their cocktails as some other places but maybe I've just not found the right one yet
