Lovely country hotel in a nice location. The hotel has a bar downstairs and a restaurant area. It also has a lovely outside area with fairy lights. Room was small but big enough for 2. We had a fan in the room also which we were so happy for! Staff were very helpful and professional. Only thing I would change and it might be because I didn't look hard enough for it in the room was no sign to put on the door for do not disturb in the mornings.
Amazing pub, great atmosphere, 5 stars for the food, however the service was too slow, the pub wasn't particularly busy, but the food came out slowly over a 10 min period, so the first person nearly finished by the time the last dish came out. Staff polite and friendly, decor perfect, esp suit of armour and open fireplace! Shame the fire wasn't lit as it was -2 outside, would have been a nice touch. Food & drinks: Seriously good food, best Sunday roast in Cheshire!
Medium size carpark, quick check in ! ,room201 top floor was a good size but low beams so had to kept ducking! I've stayed here a few times and always been a good experience. Good WiFi, excellent shower the only thing was the towel heater wasn't working forgot to mention! No breakfast included but can add on if wanted, bed was very comfortable Evening meal was superb ,lots of good choices and homemade pizza not much in the way of veggie options on the main menu though. Lots of paths and back roads perfect for walks and running ‍ Would I stay again and recommend YES
A very good and pleasant one night stay..... The bar and restaurant are fab and rather large.... You have to see the round table room with the suit if armour..... It was very quiet when I stayed midweek..... I hope it's busier when the weather is better..... Loads of parking..... Food is very good.....Rooms: 4/5
We ate as a family of 11, pre Christmas meal as we don't all live in Cheshire chance to all be together before Christmas. The food was lovely, service however was terrible. We all had the Sunday lunch, there was only 1 other table eating but it took an hour to serve food, wasn't all served at the same time. At least 2 desserts weren't available... an hour between courses.
First time eating here, Would definitely eat here again. Food was lovely, Nice atmosphere.Service: 5/5
Good food and serviced. Very clean. Staff friendly. Really enjoyed Sunday lunch. Fanrastic menu great choice.Service: 5/5
The staff were very welcoming. The room comfortable and warm after turning the heating on. My only downfall was no TV remote in the room. Yet I was too tired to ask for one anyway. All in all a comfy night's sleep. Large car park at the rear of the building.
Stayed for three nights, well looked after by friendly staff. Decent pub grub! Very tasty pizzas. Covid measures spot on and felt safe and secure. Has a rustic village charm and is a nice place to chill with a pint and a pizza! Good access to Chester, Liverpool and Manchester if you fancy staying out the cities and travelling in for day trips.
Lovely one night stay, we were greeted at reception by the manager, who checked us in and showed us to our room. Lovely big clean room. Was later showed to the bar by the manager, then to our table for evening meal by the manager. He also waited on tables and was there to take orders for breakfast and bring it to our table. Brilliant. Thankyou from Gary and Gemma in Wrenbury.
