Great food, the chef is very accommodating for dietary requirements. Drinks are reasonably priced, during the day it's a very nice quiet pub with all the sports. In the evening it has a good buzz either a mix of locals and tourists.

As a coeliac the food choices were very poor. The Only main course option was gammon and I had to query why I couldn't have a steak! But my steak was difficult to cut and chew 🙁. I could not have their chips, but they did make me a cheese sauce to go with my salad! Only ice cream for a dessert option 🙁. My husband did enjoy his lamb hotpot. Lovely polite staff and a nice venue 😊

"Home cooked food", maybe the home where it's cooked is a bit too far away from the pub. Hand-cut chips might have been hand cut at some point but they were rubbery, clearly reheated. Lasagne had little meat, mainly bloated with tomatoes which was the only clear taste, not even any seasoning could be tasted. Doubt we'll be back.

This can be very hit and miss. Had great experiences and not so great. I think it all comes down to how busy they are. If it looks busy don't go.
