Unique place to go, 1st time for a number of years, also had a walk around the classic cars.
Justifiably popular pub with an unusual central beer station, as pubs used to be hundreds of years ago, before they created bars to lean on. Two small rooms and a central flagstoned still room are inside, plenty of additional seating outside. Food is currently by visiting wagons. Good selection of beer and cider. Friendly staff and locals.nAlso known as Eli's, after a previous landlord who's family ran the pub for more than 140 years.
Not sure about food as I couldn't see any available so it's not really fair to give a negative review. The pub is great with a large pub garden and plenty of parking. The drinks are great and service was excellent - staff knew about the drinks and could give honest opinions. It has a real local feel about it. The bar isn't really a bar in the traditional sense as you can see from the photo. Definitely recommend a visit
We love a visit to Eli's Inn - as unique and quirky as the characters that fequent it. Known for being the pub with no bar, it has cosy rooms with open fires and tones of atmosphere.nnAlthough they dont do food - apart from crisps and nibbles - there is often food trucks parked outside, and they offered a wide range from Fish and Chips to Mexican taco's, but check ahead. The staff at the pub are super friendly and always welcoming - families and dogs, plus muddy wellies are always welcome.nnThe pub has an interesting selection of local beers and ciders on tap and bottles, plus wines and spirits. Over the spring and summer months there is live music, classic car evening, beer yoga, cricket matches. Plus all year you can find board game nights, crafting evenings, talks - the list goes on!nnI would highly Eli's to anyone looking for a unique Somerset experience, Langport is lucky to have such a place!
Wow. Went to see the classic cars. What a spectacular show of vehicles. The variety was brilliant and the owners very friendly. I was surprised at the number of cars and people that turned up. Amazing. This event happens every 3rd Tuesday as far as I am aware. Very much worth a visit.
