The Remedy

About

Beautiful wine, gorgeous food.

Story

The Remedy is a wine bar and kitchen run by two friends with a serious passion for food and wine. We wanted to create a cosy and relaxed place in which to discover great food and beautiful wine — something in the style of the Continental enotecas and neighbourhood bistros we know and love. And so The Remedy was born.

Cosy. Convivial. Quality-obsessed. That’s us in a nutshell.

A quaint neighborhood restaurant with amazing selection of organic wines and the best food I've had on my vacation to London. The "dumplings" were the best! Basically vegetarian meatballs with a delicious red sauce. Everything we had was delicious and the guys behind the bar were a lot of fun. I highly recommend you try this place!Food: 5/5
We had had the pleasure of dining at The Remedy Wine Bar Shop & Kitchen, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with warm lighting and comfortable seating. The wine list was extensive, and the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the perfect wine to pair with our meals. Speaking of the meals, the food was absolutely delicious. We had the pleasure of trying several dishes, and each one was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was top-notch.
Such a precious little place. Independently owned by lovely and wine passionate people. Great atmosphere, top notch service, beautiful wine selection. A true gem.Food: 5/5
Upon stepping into Remedy Wine Bar, we were impressed by its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The dim lighting and rustic decor created the perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the selection of white wines. The sommelier was knowledgeable and recommended a delightful white that perfectly complemented our meal. We savored the crisp and refreshing flavors, which enhanced the entire dining experience. The staff were gracious, and accommodating throughout our visit, offering insightful wine suggestions and patiently answering our questions about the menu. Their warmth and professionalism added a personal touch that left a lasting impression. Now, turning to the food, while the presentation was visually appealing, the flavors fell somewhat short of our expectations. The tagliatelle, although cooked al dente, lacked the burst of flavors we hoped for. The deep fried zucchini flowers were decent but didn't quite leave a lasting impression. One dish that stood out was the tomato and ricotta salad, with its vibrant colors and fresh ingredients. However, even that could have benefited from a touch more seasoning to elevate the taste. Our bread was also cold. On the downside, the prices were relatively steep, given the overall culinary experience. We expected a bit more value for the money spent, especially considering the average quality of the dishes. Despite the culinary aspects falling a bit short, the inviting ambiance and the staff's warm demeanor made the visit enjoyable. If you're seeking a relaxed wine-drinking environment with friendly service, Remedy Wine Bar might be the right choice. However, we would suggest managing your expectations for the food and be prepared for a somewhat pricey experience.
I found this place on google! And I can just recommend it! I had 4 glasses of very good wine for £40 That’s including serving charge! Come and visit this place!Service: 5/5
Completely charming. Amazing wine and great food. Particularly fun if you go on a wine tasting night where they do a menu that matches the wine of a region. Service is friendly and excellent. They have a wide selection of wines at different price points.Food: 5/5
Hands down one of the most exciting wine bars in central London. The crew here are just fabulous and the wine list is just incredible. This is one my regulars in London and it's just such a great vibe. From their by the glass which is always a great selection to their cellar wines... You'll find something that will really hit the spot. I'd list everything I've tried there but there's too many to name. Ask them for advice on what you're looking for and they'll find something perfect. The food is then the icing on the top. Their dishes are really on point and I love how the menu changes quite a bit and it feels very much homemade. Don't miss this gem, it's just so so good. The photos are an astounding Zibibbo from Sicily and a cracking red from Tenerife.
It was an absolutely delight to visit this place! The food and wine were amazing, and the host couldnt be any nicer. We were a good bunch of friends from Norway and we had the best night ever! Loved it!Food: 5/5
It was a winter visit and the place was loud and unfortunately we had the table by the door. The cold air kind of spoiled the visit. It was quite annoying with subzero gusts of cold air. Food was ok on taste although quantity was so small! It's only for nibbles while enjoying the wine. Not for hunger cravings. I might try again in summer.
Wound up in this quaint space on a late night with a few friends. The staff was very helpful and recommended two delicious bottles of red that we all loved. I’ll also note that wine list is pretty extensive and they have a great list of oranges I’m excited to come back for. The small plates are also very flavour and were perfect for sharing. Will be back!
