They took my order then 5 minutes later informed me that they’d be closing in 10 minutes and would I be ok with take away instead of dining in. I negotiated a 15 minute reprieve and ate while they cleaned around me. The fish was not bad and the chips very mediocre then again, that’s kind of the nature of chips. Sounds like it’s gone downhill since the earlier reviews. BTW it closes at 9 not 9:30.
Don't bother ordering the gravy. I received a tub of brown water. Chips are nice but fish smells and tastes funny. Don't think I should eat it. Disappointing.Food: 2/5
Excellent fish and chips at a great price. Order the calamari as well for an appetizer! Owner and staff are very nice and they welcome you with a smile!
I'd been this store right next to my airbnb where I stayed, everyone was so kind, and the food was so delicious: I already miss this restaurant's foods I'll definitely go this restaurant again next time when I go to London! And, when I first arrived, I was embarrassed because I couldn't enter the airbnb, but they kindly asked me to come into the store and wait, and they helped meThank you so much again:
Staff friendly, however their menu had eleven fish on the menu, but they only had two available! However, the food was delicious! Served fast!
This is my first fish and chips dish in my life. Fresh and tasty fish. Great sauce and the price is 12 pounds for haddock. Just go and taste it.
When the new owners bought this last year, they should have changed the name because it isn’t a fish and chip shop anymore. Went in there 30 mins after opening and the sausage in batter was so hard, I could have knocked someone out with it!! Saveloy didn’t taste of anything…that tells me that they are from the day before. Curry sauce was so watered down. I have been going regularly for last 8 years and the last year has gone downhill. Just do everyone a favour and take the fish and chip option off the menu, it’s heartbreaking.
A complete disaster! Fish was good but chips were old. How can they get chips wrong!!! The tarter sauces was tastless and atmosphere and plates were dirty. Please do yourself a favour and do not ever go there again!Food: 1/5
The fish is quite good. The chips is not crispy. The Cheese is quite good. The staff is not quite nice.Food: 3/5
Walked in and knew instantly this wasn't a place I wanted to eat. It's filthly dirty which is remarkable as the staff member was sat down talking. I had to wait 5 minutes whilst they cooked chips ample enough time for the dread to set in at the thought of eating something from here. Cancelled the order and walked out empty handed.Service: 1/5
