Enjoy great artisan bowl-foods and many other home-made delights, including, a pork pie range hand raised on site. Complemented by a wide range of cask and keg beers including ales from Bradfield Brewery, Brampton Brewery, Birchover Brewery, Peak Ales, Amber Ales and Sharps or drop in to see what’s on our guest pump. Our keg range features Peroni, Staropramen, Hop House 13, Guinness, Stowford Press Cider, Mortimer’s Cider, Strongbow Dark Fruits and Carling.

The space we have includes the front bar and extensive back area that enables us to offer a wide variety of events all year round. It is ideal for private celebrations, training, corporate meeting and conferencing. Check out our Events and Room Hire Pages on our website. Delicious burger and tapas. Thank you google....I searched "best burger in Matlock" ..and you did not dissapoint!!...great food quality.
I am not a beer drinker but I had beer at this place because of the great selection. The fruit beer is a must try and Sunday Roast was outstanding. Staff also very polite, efficient and pleasant to deal with.
What a cracking place this has turned out to be. Love the decor. Really comfortable place to visit with great food and drinks. Thumbs up!
Excellent beer. Pub recently changed hands and the beer which was good before is now being well kept. Really nice staff. Recommend the back room, Brasserie at No 7 for snacks and table service.
We popped in for food, without a booking, and they were very accommodating. Great chicken, mushroom and tarragon pie with fabulous chips and mashed potato. My only quibble would be some vegetables instead of one of the potato dishes.
Thanks to the staff at the Remarkable Hare we had a wonderful and memorable celebration of two special family birthdays. The food, service, music and ambiance were all perfect. Highly recommended by us all!
