Really horrible food. Food safety is not maintained as I have been served food with paper sticking to wraps. My complaints were not taken seriously. I took out time to complain in person and write an email to them. Neither have I heard back or has anything changed. Also, they should so much as offer a compensatory item to customers who have not been served well.
I’ll start with the good; most of the food is actually really delicious! However, portions are incredibly small. There must be some very meagre portion control as all staff give enough for a 10 year old! Surely students can’t be full of what they give here? Also, some staff can be rather rude and dismissive of customers which is a shame. Never any seating either.
I would say avoid it if you can. It’s very expensive especially for students. The filling portions for wrap and flat breads are laughable; so small depends on who makes it. The food in general is not that great either. I don’t wanna start on how bad indian cuisine here is.
Worst food, overpriced and small portions. Some of the staff is really nice but some have no food standards at all, they'd give you burnt sausages or touch food with their hands.Food: 1/5
Wonderful, mitic and remarkable place due to the big Rock Stars who performed here and the facilities couldn't be better.
I study in London and my uni looks deserted now after Covid, it's all plastered with "no pass" signage, canteens have not reopen yet, whilst The refectory at Leeds university is so alive and just hosted Damnation Festival. Special points for Humpit, delicious vegan food. Was disappointed by Wok&Go, pait £8.90 for a large Spicy Tofu Noodles box, ant only got 3 very small tofu pieces, really sad and an obvious rip off.
There's a good range of food, no complaints about the taste or the price. It's also very handy for when you need a quick bite between classes, and there's plenty of seating.
The Refectory at the University of Leeds is a great place to visit if on campus. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There is plenty of seating, and a good variety of food and drinks. Highly recommend. Thank you
Went for a Marina concert, daughter is a big fan! Proper gig feel, all standing and very warm, still a great venue, we all enjoyed the evening.
Sound hasn't improved in over 10 years. Bands cannot be heard clearly from the back of the Refectory. Levels and acoustics are tragic. If you love a band and care about the way they sound watch them elsewhere.
