me and my partner LOOOVE irish bars and guiness and oneills did not disappoint! after a bad experience at oneills in london, me and my partner did not know what to expect but we were beyond happy at the service we received! the guiness was LOVELY, possibly the best we’ve had in leeds so far which is to be expected! we got the cheesy dippers, chicken and chips from the picky menu and the quality was lovely, wayyyy better than other places we’ve been to for nibbles! we will most certainly be returning
The staff are super friendly and the place and seats are clean. The drinks were good, but I suggest the food menu may better be reviewed. I think it may be too many choices of food on the weekday menu. As I looked around ,on weekday not many people order food and so it may not keep well. We have ordered the steak and it was not good. Comparatively pizza and the fries are more recommended. I am not sure whether my comment is suitable for other times because we had it on the peaceful day, no match on any sports and nothing special, just a normal weekday.
Certainly! **O'Neill's Pub in York**: Nestled in the heart of York, O'Neill's pub offers a charming atmosphere with a hint of elegance. The interior is warmly lit with a cozy ambiance, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. While the menu may be slightly on the pricey side, the quality of the food and drinks is excellent, making it worth the splurge. Whether you're enjoying a traditional Irish dish or sipping on a finely crafted cocktail, O'Neill's provides a delightful setting for both locals and visitors alike.
Great place until later in the day Fri / Sat. Small things like marks on grasses and sticky floors are a let down after 5pm on a weekend - I get it, it's busy and difficult, but it's the only reason for not giving the 5th star.Food: 4/5
We were initially greeted by Henry who was amazing. He gave us perfect service and Daisy was equally as amazing on the second night. All in all we had a ‘bless’ his names bless blessed night. My favourite Leeds bar x Kid-friendliness: Loved my kids. Kept them entertained. They have a kids menu that is great.
We had a lovely afternoon celebrating our birthdays. Great service with a smile, lovely bonus of money off for our birthday drinks. Easy to book a table, set up a tab, enjoy the surroundings, rugby put on nearest screen when requested and bill promptly sorted when slightly wrong Could not fault and will continue to call in regularly xx
Great night! Happy hour is amazing and so cheap. Only criticism would be the live music on Friday just been... not the best! But staff were spot on. ThanksFood: 5/5
We called in for breakfast, which was amazing. They were really tasty, hot, and value for money. we got two small irish, a small veggie and the hearty Veggie breakfast. Everyone really enjoyed their food. This is now our new go-to eatery for brekkie in Leeds.
We went here as a group of 6 to watch some sport and get food and drinks for the afternoon. They have lots of screens. I asked the Asian lady behind the bar if they had Eurosport and without hesitation she said no. Didn’t check, ask anyone. Went back the next day for a quick pint and 2 screens had Eurosport. Clearly she was too lazy and couldn’t have been bothered to check. Congrats you missed out on a group of 6 eating and drinking for 4 hours
This was a lovely pub to go drinking at, with a stylish counter especially at nighttime! The decorations on the wall and the lights add to the atmosphere, as do the friendly staff. I enjoyed a bottle of WKD Blue, situated comfortably at a clean table and prices are fine!
