O2 Academy Leeds is a concert venue, nightclub, event space and sports venue located in Leeds City Centre.

O2 Academy Leeds on Cookridge Street is the site of the former Town and Country Club and its launch was one of the most exciting and ambitious projects, converting the listed building back to its magnificent theatre style format. A secondary 400 club space, Underground, has a state of the art PA, lighting grid, DJ booth and A/V equipment and is perfectly positioned to host the very best specialist club events and function as an additional area, pre and post gigs in the main auditorium.

It's a brilliant venue for a concert. I've seen a couple of great bands here. The floor slopes down, so the best views are at the back near the merchant stand. *Loads of toilets, clean and well stocked too - no queues. *Lots of bar areas for drinks at reasonable prices, concert venue prices obviously, but not silly. There are 3 or 4 bar areas inside, so there are no massive queues and quick service. The venue also offers 3x different 0% alcohol beers as well as soft drinks if you're a non-drinker. They have 2 pint plastic cups, too. *Bag searches and body scan for security. *Be aware of the very strict entry criteria; NO CHEWING GUM. NO MINI PERFUME BOTTLES. NO RUCKSACKS OR BAGS BIGGER THAN A4 SIZE. *Vaping is not allowed indoors, but there are smoking areas through doors during concerts. *Sound is brilliant and clear. Well lit shows. Great venue, great central location, you feel safe in there, well staffed and patrolled, staff are helpful but not all are friendly with it.
Been several times - great smaller venue for live music. Staff helpful. Make sure you go early if you want a balcony seat. Paying for one doesn't guarantee you get one. Great view of stage from the bar area so you don't miss anything.
The obvious stuff first - price of drinks is something close to daylight robbery, even for "discount" 2 pint upgrades. £8 per pint... go figure. Sound quality is ... mixed. It varied a lot between sets, sort of 2 Vs 4 sound. As a venue it's actually pretty good with an intimate feel. You're always close up to the stage and sound mix notwithstanding it has a very visceral effect.
Really good venue, close proximity to leeds centre and a very good car park just up the road. Venue was really clean, staff were friendly, only downside is drinks were a bit pricey but overall it was an awesome night.
Excellent venue with lots of parking although a bit on the expensive side. Don’t go to the bars upstairs go to the ones underneath the stage as it’s faster to get served.
The staff were AMAZING!! I had the best time and felt so safe and comfortable during my time in the early access seats on the balcony. Thank you so much for the best time. I even got a setlist from one of the LOVELY staff members. i appreciate it so much
First time attending this venue for a gig, order balcony is unreserved, assuming me and my husband will just sit at the first two seats available, nope!!! The venue had oversold the seats the balcony area was so full of people it wa shard to move! We ended up near the bar area, the whole place boiling, not sure if it had working AC Teddy Swims was amazing shame the venue let the experience down.
Decent size venue. Ok sound-wiseTerrible draught beer quality. Very expensive drinks. I've been to numerous gigs here, on varying nights Weds, Fridays, Saturdays and the draught beer never tastes right, most likely due to poor beer line cleaning; the smell of the lager is off and the taste is bad. And the price asked for this is ridiculous. Far too expensive considering the location.
Good venue, small enough to get a good view wherever you stand, beer as expensive as you'd expect at a venue bar, 2 pints £15 quid but spoons around the corner for pre show drink was handy!
