A classic pub with big portions of normal pub food and a nice selection of ales on tap. The setting is nice, but not quite beautiful. It's right on the Broads which is really pretty, but unfortunately it's shadowed by a big ugly sugar factory. The building itself is nice and the decor inside is cosy and warm enough. It's a little old and worn but I think that adds to its character. The food was cracking. They did a whole selection of normal pub grub see picture of the menu on this review and the portion sizes were pretty massive. We were all absolutely stuffed after finishing, but all said the meals were done very well. On the day we went there was duck and steak as specials, and both were really well done indeed! The owners were there playing pool, there were some classic pinball machines, loads of free moorings, and I believe it's B&B also. It's tidal to around 0.5m here.
Nice pub with a good selection of drinks located in a great location. Been going here for a few years now after doing some water skiing at Cantley, and with the slipway next door its very convenient! Lovely to sit outside during peak summer and enjoy a nice cold San Miguel as the sun goes down. Highly Recommended! My only flaw would be the sitting out round the back needs some updating in my opinion. But this doesn't effect the overall experience. Will be back there in the near future
Great pub. Home cooked cheap food with lots of it. Maldon ales and good selection of cider and gin. Friendly place
Lovely family friendly pub. On holiday and made feel very welcome by locals food is lovely generous portions and at a good price. Will be visiting again next year
Lovely place. Food and owners are amazing.....
A great place for food, as we found out. A party of 4, we turned up on speck at around 7pm after having cruised down from Brundall. We'd moored outside. The portions are huge and worth every penny; well prepared and nicely presented. A good selection of ales too. The internet around those parts can be dodgy as we found out, but all came good in the end. Just one quibble; it could be a little lighter in the area where we were seated. Other than that, great. Highly recommended.
No frills, very welcoming pub. Excellant food at great prices. Fantastic menu, good choice of beers. Dogs welcome. A must visit.
Stopped in on way up river from reedham to Brundall . Bad weather and hungry .First stop and thought can't be to bad .Good reviews !!!. Walked in to smell of wet dogs and worn out carpets and battery's charging. Should have walked straight back out . But nope give it a go. Barman friendly . That's the only positive comment I can make. Food shocking
A warm friendly pub with good home cooked food, excellent ale and happy staff.
Food is amazing, 7 different vegetables with the roast dinner, great portion sizes, great choice. Always friendly and welcome
