Went here on boxing day 2022, we didn't have a reservation, but hey happily seated us. I had my husky assistance dog with me, and they went out of their way to make her comfortable, we were sat in the restaurant and had a fantastic view over the garden and onto the sea. The food was simply amazing. I had the burger and chips, and oh what a great meal it was. The chips were some of the best I've ever had. Whilst they were really busy, the staff were fantastic and really polite and efficient at all times. Will gladly visit here again, and whilst not the cheapest, was definitely worth every penny we paid for our fantastic meal. Food & drinks: Some of the best I've ever had.
Came for a family reunion lunch and had the most lovely afternoon. Our server, despite also running the bar/running food, was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. All the food was delicious! The icing on the cake was how dog friendly they were, bringing water and treats for our puppy which was a lovely touch. Overall we were very impressed and will definitely be back!
Ate here whilst on holiday this week, food was excellent and service quick. Lovely man behind the bar showing me the gin selection. Didn’t catch his name sorry! Would certainly recommend booking if you want to eat in the restaurant as gets busy quick but we were quite happy in the front, nice and cosy! Overall a lovely visit would return if in the area!
just had a Sunday lunch here, party of 12 prebooked. the service from start to finish was amazing. quick and efficient service. the beef roast dinner was the best I've had. cooked to perfection. we had large bowls of fresh carrots, red cabbage and creamy cauliflower cheese. Delicious. Will return and definitely recommend
Had a lovely family meal here to celebrate my mums 50th. The first time we’ve all been together in months. The food was excellent and service was great. There was a slight mix up between a meat and vegetarian lasagne, but this was instantly remedied and we all had a fantastic two course meal too full for pudding. Thanks to the team for looking after us!
We came here on 4th January for my Mum's birthday meal. It was lovely, we got the steak burger and gammon both served with salad, chips and coleslaw. I was amazed at the portion sizes they were humongous! The food was delicious and there was nothing left on our plates! The two girls on duty were lovely and so kind. Will definitely return on our next holiday from Newcastle :.
Gorgeous pub with really friendly staff and great food. We visited on a Sunday evening and had calamari to start which was INCREDIBLE. Fish and chips and burger for main were delicious and sundae to share for pudding was scrummy. Staff were attentive and friendly - we couldn’t recommended highly enough.
Went here for my 18th birthday and very much enjoyed it! Lovely food, attractive surroundings and good views over the sea, the ability to bring in our Labrador was a bonus too! Overall a very positive experience.Service: 5/5
While I cannot comment on the rooms as I did not stay over night but they do look nice I can say this is a lovely homely rustic pub with an elegant restaurant. It is a very popular place so booking is essential and advised to reserve a place if you want to eat. There is a large beer garden to the rear with some play equipment for the children whilst the adults can chat or admire the views of the sea. Parking is plenty but be advised it does get busy. A rather lovely pub and one I would reccomend to visit and maybe stay at too perhaps
Just returned from 4night stay . The staff were very friendly & breakfast was plentiful with sausage every day . Evening meals were also excellent. Our room was clean & fresh everything replenished daily , but rather small also next to the extractor fan & above the bar / cellar so quite noisy . Will know to have a sea view room next time . All in all a lovely stay thank you
