13 of us turned up drunk, unannounced, looking for lunch... The look on the gaffer's face made the stop worthwhile... After a little panic on his part, he brought us out 12 fantastic fishs and chipss (and one sandwich for the guy not liking fish). Excellent effort, good food, and great service. Call ahead if you're a big party, or you'll give the boss an aneurism.

We loved our New Year stay at the Red Lion. Our family room was clean and comfortable and a good size with extra bed. Our visit to the bar on the first night was warm and welcoming from both staff and locals who made our stay good fun! Thank you Linda, Big Dave and Billy to name a few. Hope the pipe band flourishes. The food on New Year menu was really tasty a highlight being haggis and blackpudding croquettes but the monkfish and prawn bouillabaisse was fab! Thank you Jamie for a wonderful few days and a great start to 2018!!

We recently stayed at the Red Lion. It was just by chance we found it. It's a lovely little inn with a great staff and friendly locals. Our room was charming and clean. We had a great time there! The food is great also. I highly recommend it!
