Nice pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Food and drinks k are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is what you'd expect from a up market country pub. Decor is traditional with a modern twist but keeps the character of the beautiful building. Will definitely come again.

Called in to The Red Lion today on our way to Chastleton House on the off chance they would have a table.  We were fortunate that there had been a cancellation as it was fully booked.  We ordered from the Sunday Lunch menu and I had Aberdeen Angus beef, my husband Pork Belly.  The vegetable selection was excellent, cooked to perfection as was the meat. The original part of the pub is beamed with a large fireplace and log burner and the atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff friendly and courteous.  There is also a pleasant garden where you can eat/drink on fine days.

Revisitable. Now recovering from a change of tenant. Menu much shorter and better deliverable so now good food and service - just need to get potato variety for chips and twice cook. Plentiful portions and good Donnington beer.
