I would avoid this Pub at all costs, we visited today and the young girls working there are treated so badly, I was told they encourage young girls to work there for a trial, don’t pay them and then tell them there’s now work. Male staff are very inappropriate, if you ah em kids or young teens avoid this place!!Rooms: 1/5
Room was really nice and clean however due to the bands playing late at night the people outside the pub was really noisy until 2am in the the morning. Had very little sleep and upon arriving at the hotel we was told there was no food but to try the sister pub up the hill. Arrived at the sister pub to be told we should have booked and the only food options was Greek salads and drinks.the noise from the main and other room doors is also constant all night.
Very cost. We Visited on a Tuesday, there was an acoustic folk gathering that night, which was nice if it's your thing and quiet enough that it's not disturbing anyone if it's not your thing. The young man behind the bar was very friendly and engaging.
Only had breakfast here as we stayed at their sister pub the Bulls Head. The breakfast was excellent and served with a smile.Service: 5/5
What a great stay I had there. The room was lovely even tho was above a busy pub with live music the room was very peaceful and I almost didn't hear a thing, it's really good sound proof.
Fantastic staff, friendly and going out of their way to help. Breakfast was just perfect. Good sized rooms with all you need. Quiet at night so we slept well. Highly recommended!
Stayed here recently and it's the perfect location for hiking/walking around the peaks. The room was brilliant and had everything we needed. Very spacious and the beds were comfortable. Grey accommodated my request for a double to be changed to a twin. We didn't eat here but we did have breakfast and it was enough to set us up for a day of hiking. I will be staying again even if the stairs at the top nearly make you legs drop off haha
Pub needs smarting up. Looking very tired now, no money has been spent on this pub for years. However you won't get a better pint anywhere in Glossop.Service: 3/5
Great pub. Nice selection of real ales. Very nice B&B
