A great stay at the Queens Hotel in Leeds. We had our room upgraded thank you. Room had a great view as you can see from the photographs. The hotel is right next to the station, we had to walk through the station as some road works were underway. Breakfast was the usual fruit juices and cereals with a breakfast buffet: sausages, bacon, eggs, hash brown and so on. Some pastries and fresh fruit also on offer. Hotel staff were absolutely lovely and let us have extra tea bags. We dropped our cases off at the hotel early in the morning so we could go shopping. Next time I travel to Leeds we shall stay here.
Here on an R.C.N. CONFERENCE for three nights due to long-distance travel . It does what is says on the tin . Breakfast is very, very good with plenty of choice . Rooms clean if a little tired mine was small but it did have a bath which for some rooms is a bonus. Even a room fridge, but it didn't seem to keep very cold .plus usual little things which can make a difference iron ,ironing board, kettle usual complimentary tea and coffee hair dryer ,heated towel rail Overall a good city centre hotel. Several steps up from travel/premier/Lodge/inn. Other hotel chains are available . Nearby activities: It's very central to Leeds city centre so plenty of night life when the bar shutdown Walkability: It has its own entrance off the railway station so an easy walk if coming to Leeds by train . Plus as said earlier it's in central Leeds. Food & drinks: Didn't try anything other than the breakfast, which was good, and the lunches provided fairly, ok considering catering for over 100 reps. One evening meal, which was really only fair but it was catering for a bland audience and probably on a budget as even the R.C.N. has cost to consider as its members' monies being spent . But consideration for food allergies etc was made with variations to suit some . Bar for a hotel reasonably priced as nearly all now cost a fair bit per pint except a certain "spoons "
Stayed here for work, fantastic position right next to the train station, in fact you can go straight from the platform into the hotel. The room was decent size and the bed was super comfy, breakfast offering was also very good. Whilst I was there they had a fire alarm issue, so whilst a an early morning call at 1.40am was not welcome it’s there for a reason.
The rooms here are well maintained, clean and most importantly the bed is very comfortable the linens are high quality which is what I expected. Been here before in different rooms large & small which are all well appointed with refreshments, full length lighted mirror, hairdryer, etc All staff are very polite & helpful. It's location next to the train station in Leeds centre is great for eating out locally and reaching transport quickly.
Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Fantastic position right next to the train station. Our room was a good size, very clean, cosy and decorated very beautifully. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection. All in all a fantastic hotel, great location. Beautiful décor and very friendly and efficient staff. First time staying in Leeds and will definitely stay again. Thank you.
Had a nice stay here that was if I described in one word is "functional". Service was friendly and efficient. Room was suitable. View out on to fire exit roof courtyard and some noise from the train station but nothing major. Felt room was a bit dark, which made the cosy room feel even smaller, maybe a ceiling light above the bed would've helped. Also bath very high and narrow which wasn't great for showering, with the shower head itself being tiny. Breakfast again was nice and served it's purpose but nothing fancy here. Location is super with easy access to station and the city
If you are coming by train this hotel is just perfect with its own entrance directly from the station. Staff were excellent but sadly we had to cut our weekend short due to unforeseen circumstances - staff were very understanding and helpful. Can't wait to make a return visit. Rooms: Excellent room on the top floor and very quiet. Walkability: Perfect for the railway station Food & drinks: Afternoon tea was superb.
Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! Stayed hear for the first time last year and was amazing so decided to come back again, cleanliness is 10/10 staff are so welcoming and it is decorated very well. Also very close to everything you’ll possibly need.Rooms: 5/5
Fantastic service and beautiful building. Breakfast was lovely too. The only problem I had was the lack of a mirror. Although normally it wouldn't be a problem, I was staying because I was attending a concert and wanted to put on make up. The only mirror was in the bathroom and the lighting was far from adequate. Maybe it is down to the room was the room I chose 'cosy double'.
OK room and good service. Did only stay for one night, breakfast not included. So limited experience with the service. The few staff I corresponded with were very nice. Rooms: Nice room, clean. AC worked good. Fridge did not work. Bed was a little harder than usual for hotel beds. Nearby activities: Close to city centre, shops, train station. Safety: Guard outside of entrance. Walkability: Good access with elevator.
