I have been to the Pickle Factory for Daniel Avery and Richard Fearless’ “Goo” night a few times now. Always a nice crowd there for the music and a fun way to spend Sunday evening. Good sound, nice atmosphere and delicious margaritas on tap The venue gets extremely warm - if they invested in air con it would be perfect. I reccomend bringing a fan, and preparing to get sweaty!
The female bouncer working on the door tonight for the last Tangent party was the nicest and most compassionate I've seen in London and still did her job by not letting me take sweets in and leave with my cup of water. She said she started working there just 1 month ago. I also had a great first night out at the club. The sound system was great and they had a good friendly crowd
Instantly left as security made us feel really uncomfortable. The girl especially was really rude and indirect, treating us like idiots. I understand security are there for a function of protecting the peace, but they brought a horrible atmosphere to the venue. The Pickle Factory need to seriously rethink thier security staff as I won't be returning or recommending this place, which is a shame as its a good venue.
Awful ventilation makes for a terrible barely breathable experience for dancers. They have the fans but it feels like they are on about 10% power. Could be a great dance space if they cared at all about the people dancing there. Sweating not even moving, hopefully management sorts out the fans soon. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.
I will never come here again. The security was extremely disrespectful to my friend and I. They took away all our things, including our perfumes and contraceptive pills, terrible music and terrible vibe so we decided to leave. The security guard told us we couldn’t have our stuff back and let us squirm for a long while, before grinning and saying she was just playing with us. She seems to enjoy ruining people’s experiences. We had to just grab our stuff and leave. Never again. The price of the drinks was also awful, the cheapest was £7 for a small beer.
We went to The Pickle Factory on Saturday night. Firstly; good soundsystem & good dancefloor. The rest leaves a lot to be desired, they cut the main DJ’s performance short 1 hour roughly with no explanation. There was still many punters left dancing. This was very disappointing. The drinks are also very very expensive. £7 for a small can of beer? The security also were super strict when entering, and yet still walked around the bright and small smoking area asking people are they smoking weed instead of cigarettes. They need to have more respect for paying customers, because at this rate; they won’t have many left when people realise what it’s like. The only toilet for men was also out of service with no alternative available. Overall, a bad experience and I wouldn’t return.
The music was great, but the experience with security is very unpleasant, more intense than the airport, expect to have anything vaguely liquid taken away including nail polish! Also very expensive, £8.50 for a spirit mixer!
Awesome atmosphere, quality DJs for Soul in motion night. Great clean sound system Friendly security staff Clean well maintained toilets
Solid techno music - nice space, u can actually find room somewhere in London to dance for once - friendly staff - £2 cloak room can be paid using card
Pros: intimate club with a good sound system. You should have enough space on the dancefloor as they don’t oversell tickets. Cons: the security are a nightmare who treat you with the assumption that you’re going to cause trouble. They’re heavy handed, with a girl within our group being shouted at just for trying to pick up her perfume at the end of the night and another of our group being questioned for “going to the toilet too often”. Drinks are very expensive £7 for a 330 mL can.
