Old fashioned place and good fun. Like everywhere, some girls are nice, some not. One girl did ask for payment by a direct bank transfer to her personal bank account, which is illegal. I was not up for that, HMRC sniffing around is never good. I told her to set up a business account and limited company if she wants to be paid like that, she didn't understand.
It was a good time with mates for my second lap dance experience. Donna gives a really good lap dance! All of the dancers were friendly.
Visited the famous or infamous Ye Olde Axe to see what it was like after covid on Saturday/Sunday on the 3rd/4th July 2021. Still £5 to the bouncer to get in. A few changes inside the premises. No more paying £1 to the girl dancing on stage. Yippee. Great news. Unfortunately the prices for a dance has shot up. Depressingly it's now £40 or £60 a dance. The rubbish dancers will charge you £60 as the know they will not get a second dance. So take a huge wad of cash if you really want to enjoy yourself. I personally blew my load of money £300. The personal intimate dancing is still really great. A few other changes. All dances are now upstairs socially distanced in case you were wondering. Half of the bar is no longer used. It's curtained off. No DJ but there is still music playing. The major difference is customers. I estimate numbers are down by 50-80%. Not sure if it's because of covid or the silly high prices. There are also a lot less girls but enough girls to make any red blooded male happy. Another thing is the girls don't dress as sexy as they did pre-covid. They are mostly covered up but they do take most of their clothes off when they do personal dances. The TV has been moved and the area that was used previously for personal dances is no longer used. The toilets are awful and need refurbishing. So go along. Enjoy. Leave with a smile on your face and hundreds of pounds down.
Went there on a Sunday an off peak day.-My mistake there were only 3 dancers that day. They do make an effort to speak to you. Unfortunately I was a bit dissappointed. due to the lack of dancers A few old men had private dances with them. The decor needs updating quite gloomy to be honest, must have been a popular spot in its heyday, now rather sad. Prefer Brown's just a 3 minute walk away instead more up market with many varied dancers.
You don’t get left alone... even when you’ve just had a dance, you have another girl trying to pull you in... they don’t give you any time to actually speak to your friends. Also, what’s really annoying is that every 2 minutes a different girl says she’s dancing on the stage and you have to give them £1 or leave, even if you’re not watching them. The girls are attractive enough, just wish they weren’t all so pushy.
Been to Ye Olde Axe twice 2017 and i loved it. I've been looking for a pub with dancers like this for years! The private dances are fantastic. OK the toilets ain't great but who goes to a pub to enjoy the toilets. Some of the girls are very nice indeed. Will be going back because i'm hooked. Warning. You are likely to be approached by attractive female/s who are desperate to dance for you It'll cost you £20 though. Five stars for entertainment only.
My first time here and I have to say I was well impressed. Lots and lots of girls and if it's hands-on private lap dances you're looking for then this is the place. Downside - my powers of resistance were pathetic so I got through a shitload of money. But that won't stop me going back next time I'm in London. Highly recommended but be prepared to shell out.
Really like this pub.Ok you expect to pay over the odds at the bar in strip venues.Dances are very good for £20.Much better than other local clubs.Girls are friendly they will ask you for private dances more than once but thats why your in there.Girls will sit with you and chat which is good fun.
Terrible place. Girls riffled through wallet and tried to march me to cash machine. Visit at own risk. Girls may allow more touching here, but Browns next door has better looking girls who aren't looking to screw punters over.
Was there on a Sunday night. About ten customers in all and maybe about eight girls - all Eastern European. Got fleeced by one of the girls into buying two extra drinks for her friends part of the customers. Didn't realise these practices still went on - my naiveity I guess. This certainly left a sour taste in my mouth. Found the place to be like an Eastern European cesspit complete with henchmen.
