First time I tried cupping was with The Herbalist at Dermaspa and I'm hooked! The marks on my back the first time I went showed a lot of toxicity and inflammation but this has certainly reduced now I've been three times. I've been having deep tissues massages for months and not really getting anywhere with a chronic shoulder problem and very tight muscles but after just one acupuncture treatment it has loosened up a bit. Yes, it is expensive there but you get what you pay for and they are experienced and know what they're doing. I'll definitely be back :-
Edison is extremely welcoming and professional. I have been treated using massage, acupuncture and cupping and started to feel the benefits immediately. The massages here are really great. I needed something relaxing after a bad start to the day and was pleased they had time to see me, especially as I didn't book. The lady massage therapist is friendly and listened to my concerns. I will certainly visit again. Gina

This is a great clinic, I visit all of the time but this is my first review. Edison the acupuncturist here is amazing, and his hands are like magic, my back feels so much better. Dermaspa here has some interesting service I will try next time. Thank you Edison, you are a diamond!

I visited you on 25th July for a massage & acupuncture and wanted to say it is the best massage I have had in a very long time. When you said deep tissue you wasn't kidding... but it really sorted my shoulder out. I forgot to ask the name of the person I saw, but he was very good. I will book to see him again soon.
I would just like to say a massivè Thank You, to Edison and team. After suffering for many months with back pain following an Injury I can now get out of bed. I would recommend the massage, cupping and acupuncture to all my friends. I had the most amazing experience, I must say I was a little aprehenesive6of the acupuncture at first, but after a consultation I was put at ease. Thank you once again for leaving me pain free for the first time in months.
Terrible place! I visited the herbalist 8 months ago I made an appointment with them for a massage.I arrived on time and let reception know, I was told to wait for 5min and that someone will come to see me. 25min later I was still in the waiting room with no service given no one approached me even though they could see me waiting to be served. It passed my appointment time thats when the manager approached me and asked what I was there for. He then called Dr.Maria to help me she was very rude didnt want to listen to my concerns. She didnt even greet me with a hi the first thing she said was "what do you want!" I was very stressed due to postpartum so they convinced me that acupuncture would be better than a massage to destress and that acupuncture had no side effects which is the main thing I asked them because if it had side effects I didn't want to do it. To make things short they lied to me to get more money because at the end of the session I felt very dizzy, weak, headace and my body felt pain I asked the manager and he said it was just side effects from acupuncture that they will wear off after 24hrs even though in the begging he said no side effects. He was very arrogant when I worried about the situation and complained about Dr.Marias attitude towards me as she didn't let me speak and was talking over me aswell as saying indirect comments about me. 8 months later I still have pain from some of the acupuncture pressure points where she put the needles, my wrist became and still is swollen, hurts and aces almost everyday from where she put the needle my arm was healthy before, I suffer with dizziness which I never had before the session. I went to the herbalist healthy I came out with problems and side effects which I still am suffering with now.
I went here recently after moving to Milton Keynes and finding myself having no luck getting an appointment with a GP, to help me with allergic asthma and non bacterial prostatitis. I was blown away by how professional and engaging Edison was; the man behind 'The Herbalist' Milton Keynes. he asked many many questions and did not look vaguely into the distance as have some of the Doctors I have been to see. He did not throw unnecessary Antibiotics at me. Our conversation flowed instead of the stop start, change the subject, again, as has been the case with some doctors I have seen. he ran various tests combined with treatments including acupuncture, massage this was lovely, 'cupping' an interesting experience, to say the least..the sensation was a little intense- that of suction on my back but I would not say that it was painful- I kept focused on all these things together, helping me get better and that way of thinking helped me to see through this treatment and stay relaxed. I imagine if you are tense and too focused on what is happening moment by moment, then you wont enjoy this. but it is absolutely possible to enjoy this,anyway and checking the rhythym not frequency of my heartbeat, looking at the appearance of my tongue.. In the end, Edison explained to me, that there was a lot of stress 'HEAT' in my body and some underlying damage to the kidneys and liver. he recommended a plan to undo the damage and then boost the health of these organs and to work with me, to relax more. his plan involves weekly treatments and further review tests to see how the changes within me are progressing and some medications -easily purchased on site All medications seem to be completely from natural products ie Royal Jelly, Rapeseed extract, which I was very impressed and relieved to see and the icing but not really on the cake, is a specially brewed/cooked herbal tonic that is made on site while you are being treated.. It is made of, as I understand it, a special combination of herbs based on your consultation and your particular needs. meaning the exact combination of herbs will be different for different people. I hope yours tastes better than mine because it is not pleasant and I must take it twice a day. but after a few days, I can honestly say, I feel less tenderness in my stomach at night and...well, my libido seems to be through the roof was not a problem before, so I will take that as an added bonus! and just all round, I feel myself feeling in a better mood and calmer, generally. In such a short time with this man, I can honestly say, whatever he is doing is having an positive effect on my health. there is a long road ahead of me, but I feel something I have not felt for a long time dealing with the NHS and that is, hopeful.
