Absolutely stunning meal. One of those that makes you go "wow" at every bite. Everything was delicious but the spiced duck breast really blew us away - has to be one of the most delicious flavourful dishes I've had in a long while. Not to mention the sticky toffee pudding is the best I've ever had and I've had a few!. This is a little hidden gem, great atmosphere and service. Will now be my go-to for celebration meals. Don't miss out, this is a must-try!
A beautiful lunch in the new town. Pared back, reasonably priced set menu. Good portion sizes and I enjoyed every mouthful! Will definitely be back!
Top notch, best meal I've had of 2022 thus far. Presentation was thoughtful but not over the top. Flavor and texture followed suit. The venison with the creamy horseradish sauce blew me away. Every bite had me delighted.
The Sunday roast was good but a bit overcooked. The overall portions and value for money was not great but the food was very tasty. Loved the atmosphere and the waiters were very nice !
Amazing, the duck breast and the aracini are really good. Maybe the best tasting dishes I have tried in the city. Plus, the place is cozy and attention is great also.
The food is SO good!! If you are in Edinburgh, you absolutely must eat here! The venison was divine. The staff is really lovely and hardworking. They are short staffed, so everyone does everything, including the very friendly owner - props to him for that! 10/10, do recommend. And if you are a server looking for a job, apply here! If I lived in this country I sure would!
We’re looking for a fancy restaurant in Edinburgh and we found the Perch restauran by a chance. The prices in the menu was reasonable, especially for the launch set menu, where you can have 3 courses for less than 17 pound. We took that offer and chose couscous salad, Haggis, and panna cotta for dessert and we had steak dish from the main menu and mac&cheese as a side. All of them were perfect and delicious, but maybe the steak dish was a little bit small portion. The waiter is very friendly and happy to answer any question we had regarding the food. The service is very excellent. I highly recommend to go to this restaurant if you’re looking for high quality food with good price.
Had a fantastic dinner on July 3 at The Perch. I accidentally booked for a restaurant with the same name in England! The restaurant was sold out but the owner accommodated us in one of the rooms that wasn’t open. The chicken was amazing and my wife had a great order of fish & chips. Great dining experience! Will definitely go back on our next trip to Edinburgh.
We decided to try this place as it was close to our hotel and we were delighted when we left. Food was brilliant and so were the local drinks, highly recommend!
this place is fab, staff are really friendly and efficient and the food is 10 out of 10. One o nth one places where you just know you will go back to. If you are in Edinburgh you must try it. Great food and reasonable prices with a good wine list. Top notch.
