Good time to know what life looks like in the 20th century in Edinburgh.
We stumbled upon this unique gem of a museum by chance. It was free donations encouraged and very fun. The layout is architecturally interesting and the building has a fascinating history. I particularly enjoyed trying on all the clothes upstairs.

Lovely museum telling the peoples story of Edinburgh
Good for some ideas of how people lived in the past. The museum was in the middle of a refurb as it was off season.
Very well put together museum, also a little bit upsetting to see the ways that some people were left to live in, in the early days. Great and informative and really makes you feel lucky and realise how much help we actually have these days.
Great little museum, well worth looking out for, tells the story of ordinary people.
Very nice museum with very friendly staff, the exhibits give you a sneak peek into the lives of the ordinary people of Edinburgh over the centuries, worth a visit
