Small, but perfectly formed - plus it's free! Excellent displays on the history of banks and money, you can easily spend an hour or two in here absorbing everything on display. Also has activities for kids to keep them engaged - a good place to visit for all the family.
Brilliant small and free museum. Well worth a visit if you're in the vicinity. The museum itself you can go round within 30 minutes easily so don't base your whole day around it. However, it's rather impressive to see £1,000,000 in a container as well as can be fairly interesting to see how money is made.
Fantastic place to learn about the history of money. You can even see what £1m looks like. Awesome place and free admission
Quite interesting to see the story of UK banking from this point of view, really nice compact exhibition
My kids and I had a great time here! The museum doesn't take that long to get around, so you won't be here for hours. Also, perhaps suited to kids aged 8 and up, not much to do for toddlers etc. Well worth a visit though.
Pretty small and over too fast but it's a nice building with toilets and it's all free. Staff are polite and helpful. You can see piles of bank notes, old coins and a few video screens showing the area though history. With a visit for free.
Free to visit museum where you can see millions in cash- unfortunately all cancelled notes and behind a glass chamber.. Good place to know the history of money, minting, security etc. Don't miss a visit when in Edinburgh.
You can see a million in cash
Friendly staff in this cozy, tiny museum about money, which ironically doesn’t cost any money! Worth a quick visit if you’re passing by.
