We had a good time at the Paddocks hotel.  Staff friendly and obliging.  Bedroom was lovely with a king size bed, one criticism the bath should have a bath mat for use of the shower. Food was good and the waiter service couldn't be faulted.  We would go again.

After reading the reviews was expecting the worse but had a great stay.  The hotel is in a lovely location and some people say it is dated I thought it was great added to the character of the place.   Staff was very helpful and hardworking.   We had both our breakfast and dinner there.   Breakfast was hot buffet and was very good.  Dinner there was a good choice but advise to go early as they soon run out of popular options.  Would definitely go again.

"The Recency Ballroom " with a large sprung dance floor is one of the best in the Country and is a popular venue for Dance Clubs.The food is of a very good standard and the hotel are able to cater for large parties. 
The accommodation is satisfactory and recently updated. Bedrooms are smallish with ensuite clean & warm. 
The Staff all exceptional and very warm with guests.

Stayed at this lovely hotel for one night, upon arrival there was no hot water and had to wait several hours to get hot water, it was snowing pretty hard which made the scenery beautiful. The gentleman at reception very nice and helpful, room was freezing and he moved us to another room, food on the other hand was amazing,the peppercorn sauce was homemade and very nice,  can't fault it the chef is brilliant and a real credit, the downside was that it was very quiet (probably due to the snow) and the lights went off at 11:30 leaving it pitch black, would i go back?? Yes
