A nice place to stay if you are a big group. Well stocked with the pots, pans, cutlery, plates etc you might need for cooking. Our shower could have done with a gentle scrub to get rid of the black mould but there wasn't much of it and maybe we were at the end of that cleaning cycle and it would have been dealt with very soon.Rooms: 4/5
We just spend a family Pre-Christmas weekend at Riverdale Lodge in Symonds Yat. It was Amazing, what a location and the property was very clean and had everything we needed. In addition, we had asked the Owners if they could possibly give the place a Christmassy feel. Wow they really did that, see the photo's we arrived and there were 3 Christmas Trees, which we all loved! It was a short walk to the village pub, where we had a really nice meal on Saturday evening. On Sunday we went for a walk through the forest and over the bridge over the River Wye. The property is really spacious and even has Table Football and a Pool table, so ideal for a family holiday. We will definitely be booking this property again !!!
Stayed for week at end of August with the family to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Lovely house with great amenities and beautiful setting by the River Wye. So much to do for the whole family ages 4 to 78 that we hardly left the locality. Thoroughly recommended.
Another lovely stay at this amazing place. Lots of space, games and activities which means no one gets bored on a rainy day. Facilities and kitchen in the house are great. Whilst we ate out often at the nearby pubs and the hotel we also cooked lots at the house. Thank you!
We had a wonderful weekend in a very clean house in a great location. You are made to feel very welcome, nothing is too much trouble. This was our golden wedding anniversary, family getaway and was very memorable.
Lovely setting, private but overlooking the river. Pubs opposite which is accessible by an hour's walk or a quick ferry pulled across on a rope for £1.20 in season at time of writing. Sleeps 10 to 12 very comfortably.
Beautiful house great setting. Fab views weather fantastic. Only downside was the difficulty with the main access road being closes
