We visited as a birthday present for my 21st. We had a lovely break, very relaxing. The scenery is beautiful. Only recommendation is that things are not signed very well we couldn't find the breakfast lounge and staff were not over helpful that morning. All other staff we met were very friendly. We would visit again and recommend.

Not the most appealing looking hotel, square brick building but inside it is clean and we'll decorated. Rooms are nicely decorated and have everything that you need. The grounds are lovely. I have removed a star because it was not extraordinary just nicely ordinary!

We stayed here for one night just to get away and relax. The sauna and steam room are very good quality. The swimming pool is ok but a bit small. The rooms are very comfortable and homely. The food in the restaurant was very good. We were also allowed to continue using the spa facilities after checking out the next morning. All in all this hotel is expensive but not extortionate. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic golf course. Decent food in the restaurant and really good bedrooms in the hotel. The staff were very helpful. Great place for a golf/spa break.

The reception staff are very warm friendly and helpful, when you can find them. The rooms are quite comfortable with plenty of seating. Some have nice views over the golf course and surrounding countryside. I opted for a ground floor room, which I soon discovered was located over the spa and gym area, which can be quite busy and a little noisy at times. I am quite tall and found that the bed while good quality, was too short for me. The double bed was two singles joined together and the join made it uncomfortable to attempt to sleep at an angle to compensate for the lack of length. I ordered my evening meal from room service, finally getting through after half an hour of trying, The food was okay, but the burger bun was a little soggy where the salad leaves hadn't been dried properly. The portions sizes were a little mean, with barely half a dozen chips. The meal looked quite bleak with various shades of brown and no attempt at decoration or garnish. The supplied plastic sachets of ketchup were very nasty and acidic, of the type you would expect to find in a cheap seaside boarding house Desert was barely a fork full of brownie accompanied by a quenelle of ice-cream that must have been patiently crafted with teaspoons. The addition of left-over brownie crumbs as a garnish did little to lift the aesthetic appeal of the plate, but did, I suppose add to the overall portion of brownie. The advertised salted caramel was a mere drizzle and did nothing to enhance or complement the dish, being so insipid that it did not register as a defined flavour. Breakfast in the dining room the following morning was much better. I opted for the full English, which was perfectly cooked, nicely presented and a little more generous.
