Not happy! Only reason I come to see this doctor is because you can always get an appointment. But I don't trust him so I'm going to get my son in another doctors surgery. End of! The only time he took an interest in my son was when another doctor was in with him. He doesn't give you any eye contact. Just taps away on his computer. Come on.... your a doctor your meant to listen to your patients. Alot of people have said the same as me. Ignorant doctor!!!

The doctor is brilliant. Yes, he is a little bit like Doc Martin on TV, but he is very good.

I very rarely require a visit to the GP and I registered here due to the convenience of the location alone. I’ll spare any unpleasant details in case you’ve just eaten but I was suffering from an ingrowing toe nail which I suffered from once before way back in 2003. I’ll mention now that the reception staff and the nurse were absolutely fine, no issues there and getting an appointment was a breeze. Unfortunately that’s were the positives end. On my first visit to see Dr Mohindra I walked in and was offered some vague attempt at a greeting whilst he remained sat down working away at his computer. He then proceeded to continue happily typing away for 15 seconds or so whilst I just sat there waiting for some kind of engagement. Then with the minimum amount of enthusiasm he asked me what the problem was and I was allowed all of about 5 seconds to explain before he asked me to remove my sock and shoe. Back to the typing he went whilst I removed my foot wear and that’s where his attention remained for another 20 seconds whilst we both sat there in silence. He then very generously diverted his attention away for a good 3 seconds to look at my toe before, you guessed it, he was back on his trusty computer. This time though to write me a prescription which I thought was a tad hasty as he hadn’t even asked me a single question or let me explain any of the problems the injury was causing me. But hey, I’ve not studied a day of medicine in my life so who am I to question the good doctor? So here comes the prescription, which turns out to just be an anti-inflammatory which doesn’t seem right to me for an ingrowing nail. He then advises me that I should only take half the recommended dose and sends me on my way. I knew at this point the meds were not going to resolve the issue but I figured I may as well go through the motions. Having become acclimatised to the robot like approach of my GP and the chemist’s friendly smile and eye contact really threw me for a second. She presented me my prescription and proceeded to talk me through the instructions for use. She explained her confusion at the doctor’s note to take these with food as they only work on an empty stomach. I explained that he only advised taking 2 out of the recommended 4 tablets a day and the same look of perplexity crossed her face that had previously crossed mine. As predicted the meds assisted with some of the swelling but ultimately did nothing for the resolution of my ailment (what a shock). So back to the surgery we go. Again I was booked in for an appointment with no problem at all. Though I’m starting to suspect now that the availability of appointments may be directly related to the GP’s level of care. A little bit akin to the worst rides at Alton Towers always having the shortest queue. Visit number two with the good doctor brought all of the interest and productivity of the first visit, which just to recap, was zero. Admittedly his greeting was a little more pronounced this time and he at least double checked my name. I took a seat to then be told that he may receive a phone call shortly and if this is the case then I’ll just need to step outside. He’s somehow worked out how to put patients on hold whilst dealing with them face to face which I found somewhat impressive (I didn’t, that’s sarcasm). We went through the usual back and forth, a rinse and repeat of the first visit and lo and behold, here comes prescription number two for the same meds. I’ll spare the pursuing conversation as it proved somewhat tedious (and one sided) but the end result is that I’ve chosen to opt for private care which hopefully means I am one referral away from being done with this surgery. Reading other reviews for here it would appear I’m not the only patient to be treated this way and I have no idea how this doctor could ever be highly rated. Either way though, it’s no skin off my nose, which is a good thing because I guess he’d probably just write me a prescription for that as well.
