Over the last month I have travelled an hour to Nottingham City Hospital for Radiotherapy for my Cancer, the staff are second to none all very helpful throughout my sessions which have been 5 days a week. Parking is not easy but we get here early to get a space, resting before treatment involved daily visits to Costa Coffee where Eunice the staff member always greets you with her wonderful smile which makes our day . Thank you every one at City Hospital, I get to ring the bell this morning for end of treatment.
My wife was admitted to Nightingale 2 ward with Cellulitis. The care she received was very good and all the staff on the ward were lovely. The food that my wife was given was the best I've ever seen in a hospital. My only criticism would be with the visiting times. We arent local to Nottingham and my wife was working away when she was admitted. I was staying in a local hotel and visiting each day, To be told I couldnt come on to the ward before 11am was a bit off considering I wasnt anywhere near home.
The staff, at all levels, in Morris Ward at City Hospital were wonderful throughout my stay following a cardiac arrest. They were totally dedicated to the care and physical, mental and emotional welfare of every patient. I had total confidence in their skill and experience and they are worthy of the highest praise. Thank you to everyone.
My wife was driving down the M1 on the way home from a wedding when what I thought was indigestion suddenly got a lot lot worse. Wedrove to the Queen's A&E, and they took one look and said yes, it's a heart attack. They got me as quick as they could into an ambulance to transfer me over here. I have to say that any place that saves your life deserves a 5 star review! One emergency stent later, and I'm alive. But they want to do another one. It's more complex but necessarily to prevent another attack. Chances of it going wrong, 1:1000. Chances of another heart attack if I say no? 1:10. That's a no-brainer! So they did it. 3 hours of the third worst discomfort that I can remember. 2nd was the first stent. The worst was a broken shoulder But it's done. I'm alive and happy to be so. The staff here have been great. Very friendly and helpful. I understand the parking is a nightmare and the place is a rabbit warren but to me, none of that matters. Thank you, Trent Cardiac Unit and Papperwick ward.
I went for a pet scan last Wednesday with my wife. My appointment was 8.10. No drugs arrived until 9.00am. The coffee machine was broken, no water in the dispenser, one person who did front of house, the canula and the scan. No heating or lighting in the scan waiting room, breach of health and safety springs to mind. On top of that an email I sent to In Health who run the scan was ignored and my review of In Health was removed. Do I now need to contact the newspaper about this scandalous behaviour
Nothing to do with the care of staff but with so much new up to date equipment etc does it not occur to any one there that more equipment means more patients means MORE PARKING REQUIRED!! I had to drop my husband of for his MRI scan last week so he did not miss his appointment because we could not find anywhere to park. I then drove around the entire hospital 3 times for 50 minutes looking for a parking place to no avail - so stressed I got a migraine & eventually found a parking place in a Staff only place as, by now, needed to use the toilet and take a migraine tablet - stressed by then is an understatement & upset that I could not be with my husband. PLEASE Powers that be more Parking for pity sake!
I was admitted here as a cancer patient in 2018. I was on the ward they put you on after appearing at a&e, so ambulatory care or acute medical unit? I’m not sure which one it was, but it was a quite a dirty ward..there were multiple cardboard wee containers left around with bloody wee in them, dirty toilets, blood on the floor in bathroom. But on the other hand the staff were lovely, cheered me up, even the catering staff were lovely people, they made the hospital pleasant. Maybe bring your own anti bac wipes if you’re immunocompromised like I was
Went for an X-ray on my injured shoulder everyone who dealt with me was polite and caring. Merci not sure of the spelling the radiologist was an absolute star, so caring and kind. No one likes going to hospital but this visit was stress free thanks to the caring attitude of everyone we came into contact with. Thankyou to all concerned
I’ve been at City hospital for a month now. The staff have been nothing short of excellent. Their care, consideration and expertise is second to none. A special mention to the nurse Vish. His fast action saved my life. Without him, I would not be writing this review. I can’t thank them enough and I can’t thank Vish enough. I will never forget what the team at City Hospital have done for me
I come from Doncaster I’ve been in having replacement hip surgery the consultant Andrew Manktellow was fantastic the doctors and nurses where second to none the hospital is mint clean the food is beautiful. Parking is hard even with a Blue Badge so get dropped off and picked up they will send someone with a chair to your car. I recommend the hospital to everyone. Eddie Todd Uncle Eddies
