This a very pleasant pub with a country & rustic feel to it. Good selection of beer, I thought the stuff at the bar could have berm more attentive especially when it was only me waiting, they seemed to be preoccupied. Ordered the Sunday Roast Trio of Meats and whilst it was tasty it wasn't piping hot. The desserts were delicious. They allow dogs here and there is plenty of car parking space and it is adjacent to a Travelodge.
Was very excited to enjoy the festive menu here to find out some of it wasn't avaliable when I actually tried to order it. I was also excited to try the Arincini starter as I'd never tried it before and was highly recommended. As you can see in the pictures ...for £7.50 I was served 2 stuffing balls basically. I felt ripped off and they seemed overcooked sadly. My main wasn't available so ended up having a ceaser salad with chicken requested. The chicken was soooo dry and looked unpleasant to be honest but still tried to eat it anyway. The hot chicken was placed over my whole salad so all the leaves were wilted. I was honest and mentioned my complaints to the staff. The staff and management did actually care and offered us a discount on the products I struggled with. The pub itself is a lovely environment and would love to come back and drink again..the staff are amazing specially the lady who served us Tara. Due to the hospitality I would try the restaurant again but wanted to give an honest review. Ellie the Manager was great too. Appreciate the staff caring so much that I bearly ate. Hoping to have a better experience on my next visit.
We had a very nice family Sunday dinner. The place is charming and you can choose a seat inside or outside. There is a nice room for a company, several fireplaces that I believe are adding cosines at a cold weather. On Sundays they have a special menu with Sunday roast. We had with beef and pork belly and a burger with salad. The staff is really friendly. The Old Stables is located at the crossroads between Chichester, Arundel and Bognor Regis. Nice place to have a stop to refuel for further traveling.
Nice welcoming atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, comprehensive menu and lovely décor. Thanks for a lovely meal. Enjoyed the shepherds pie and fish finger sandwich!!
A friend of us took us there for lunch. Really nice place. Nice decoratio. Nice staff and good food.
Got served by Jodie and she was friendly, funny and such a good server. The food was lovely and the apricot crème brûlee was the best pud I've ever had! Definitely come here 11 out of 10!
Went there for an evening meal. Great pub/tavern setting and great location to the local Travelodges Arundel Fontwell and Arundel Fontwell Park The staff were very nice and friendly and greeted us with a nice smile. There was a wide variety of food and drinks available from burgers to steaks. I ordered a plain burger as well as a Chicken Schnitzel for mains Both food items were very nice and appetising . In addition to all the above, there is also a good range of desserts and ordered a banoffee pie which was also nice. I would personally recommend this place due to all I have said above as well as it being good value for money.
Lovely pub. We had a fantastic meal, I had chicken and mushroom pie, wife chose lasagne, we both commented that we would definitely return. Home cooked and delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive, special mention to Grace our waitress.
I like this place, its got that cosy pub vibe with comfy chairs by the fireplace. Good range of beers including real ales in good condition. Also cocktails and lots of different spirits available. Food is pretty standard pub grub, not cheap but not expensive. Good work guys
Roasted Turkey Breast dinner was served up lukewarm and had to be returned to the kitchen. The pigs in blankets were so burnt & were black on the outside. The Turkey breast however was very moist. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The toilets, although very clean, they are very tired looking and in need of updating. In the ladies one toilet was out of order and another was blocked with toilet paper. The staff however acted on this immediately once informed. All credit to them.
