We were out to explore today and stumbled across this fantastic pub. To start a good selection of ales, more importantly staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Had a nice chilled out ale by a open fire, what can be better. The lady who served us, literally made my beloveds year with one of the nicest gestures ever. Lets say Badgers Brewery says it all. Will defo be back to try food and even looking to overnight in Arundel. Many thanks.
Under new ownership and the new tenants have made great strides already. Have had to open before they have completed all works and understandably so! Looking forward to returning when the kitchen reopens. Lovely atmosphere and beer in top condition. All in all, they have done a brilliant job to improve the decor and I’m certain they’ll be a great success!
Went for a walk, and came across this idyllic place, great atmosphere, lovely little pub. Great selection ales. Recently taken over by new owners, Friendly and welcoming service. Highly recommend. Sounds like some big things to come.
One night stay, staff freindly and helpful. Room was a good size, right of the car park where there was spaces when the afternoon drinkers had left. This made the room a little noisy along with the constant hum from a condenser in the back. Shower was shocking tempt took ages to get hot and the pressure was almost non existent even with the Tik toc shower head. No fitted plug andto the sink and the toilet was not flushing well. Overall a good stay, breakfast was ok good quality produce but served on very cold plates which lead the food being Luke warm sadly! Would recommend for an over night stay but longer would not be great.
Spent 1 night here, while visiting Arundel. Very conveniently located, near town centre, next to the cathedral and opposite the castle garden. Plenty of on-site parking, plus spaces outside in the road, in the evening, although spaces disappeared during the day. Friendly staff. Only meal was breakfast, which was fine, but can't comment on the lunch or dinner. We had a good meal at the nearby Indian. The room was comfortable with plenty of tea / coffee. Only downside, it was a bit noisy with car traffic and pub visitors, but that's to be expected when staying in a town pub I guess! I also needed to re-tune the TV to get any channels, but most people don't go away to watch TV, so no big deal.
Stayed 2 nights and possibly one of the best b&b I've stayed at from the moment of arrival to checking out staff were friendly and attentive breakfast was really good and the selection of ales and spirits also good if your looking for a place to stay I would highly recommend staying here
Here's a very well kept pub with pleasant staff and as it was quiz night a decent group of customers who were presumably locals/regulars that made for a good atmosphere. My fixation with what I call 'decent ale' is the only problem. Three ales on tap in a pub is a great thing and all three were in very decent condition so, I can't complain but overall Badger beers aren't exciting. If it's possible, get a guest ale in and this is a much more interesting evening.
Came for Sunday roast Food took ages and we were happy to wait thinking it was going to be good food but it was very average. Staff was nice. Wouldn't repeat
Very friendly pub, but there were no ale pumps on during our visit.Service: 5/5
Went here for an evening meal, four adults, lovely pub next to the Cathedral. Good choices on the menu and specials board, but sadly some of the starters and mains were sold out. Understandable these days with Covid causing disruption to peoples lives, and so they are probably limiting their ordering at this time. We made our choices from what remained of the menu and were not disappointed, food was very good, staff were excellent, would go there again.
