From our first phone call to Maddy to book and arrange my father’s wake, we were extremely well looked after. We were greeted by Becky on the day and around 100 of us were comfortably seated in the conservatory. The buffet was superb and plentiful and we were served with unlimited tea/coffee by very friendly, helpful staff. Thank you for being so attentive, allowing us the opportunity to remember my father with family and friends. I would highly recommend The Old Rectory.
We had a buffet style meal here for a wake. It was a lovely meal. The staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. We were greeted at the door and shown into a beautiful room. Everything was excellent. We had our wedding here on Saturday and all I can say is Wow! Thank you Becky and all the staff here who went above and beyond from when we first booked in Oct 22' til we left on Sunday morning. You were all so attentive and every guest commented on how beautiful the whole day was. The food was amazing too, could not fault anything at all. Thank you so much xx Walkability: All on one level which made it ideal for our older guests and little ones Food & drinks: Amazing! From breakfast, wedding breakfast and buffet, all of an extremely high standard. Could not fault it Noteworthy details: The whole staff team were amazing and accommodating. The whole day went seemlessly, they changed things around for the rooms requirements without anyone noticing but we're always there when you needed them. Becky is amazing!
We came here for lunch with friends. We were made to pay for the meal in advance. The meal was like school fayre. The vegetables were over cooked with grey Brussel sprouts. I wouldn't recommend the food. It is definitely overpriced although the waitresses were very attentive.Service: 4/5
We went there today for Sunday lunch with friends and it was excellent food and all the staff were brilliant, especially Olivia , but the furniture does need replacing its take you back to the seventies, it needs to be put on a bonfire.Service: 5/5
Our son and daughter-in-law had their wedding venue here. Everything went smoothly, staff were friendly food was very good too. We all stayed overnight rooms were good and clean. Beds were comfortable a very good experience in every way Rooms: 5/5
The heated outdoor pool was brilliant, perfect for two boys even in the cool weather. The staff were really friendly and there was a lovely family feel to the service that we received. Our family room was a bit of a tight squeeze for all 4 of us but we embraced the experience and slept very well. The breakfast was delicious, lots of variety and kept us going for hours. Thank you for a memorable half term holiday!
We returned for a valentines meal and overnight stay after getting married here last year and were not disappointed. The welcome was lovely and the room very clean and spacious. The food in the evening was delicious and good quality, we couldn't fault it. The breakfast was also delicious. One thing we love the most about this place is the staff who are all so friendly and helpful. Especially Becky who is a credit to the hotel. Thank you for such a relaxing stay and we will be returning again.

We celebrated with 32 quests our Golden Wedding anniversary with a lunch at the Old Rectory. The room and table decorations were excellent as was the very helpful staff. `Our guests all reported having a great time and thought that the food and service was outstanding. My wife and I had a most enjoyable time. Many many thanks.
