Lovely big pub with loads of parking be sure to log your registration on the terminal once inside! I haven't eaten here so I can't comment on the food they serve but as part of the Greene King group you'll most likely know what to expect, friendly staff and in my experience good service.
Popped in for the two for 13.99 menu, restaurant was empty and if I’m honest a little cold, they have some weird fish pond in the dining area , which I suppose kids would like. Would pop in if passing again, but wouldn’t make a special trip to visit again
Nice place. Chatty friendly staff. Steak over done and fingerprint on my knife so food needs a bit of work. Bit over priced for quality of food. Staff saved the day!
Nice place to visit if you’re looking for great food.
Just had signature hunters chicken, brilliant can only give 10out of 10 for quality, quantity and service today. Well done all and clare was our server and checked 3 times to see we were OK with the meal. Very impressed tonight. Thanks you to all.
Came here with my family tonight. Been to quite a few restaurants in my time and by far old rectory is the best. The best food, lovely pleasant staff, great atmosphere. Very reasonable prices for amazing food. I cannot find anything i can fault about it. Will definately be coming there again.
Really lovely place. Beautiful inside, the staff are very helpful and hardworking. Went for a Christmas meal. Food and service was great and well timed. Would definitely come back!
We took my mum out for Christmas. She has Alzheimer’s and the staff were very accepting of her ways. We also had a puppy and he was welcome too. A good choice of vegan and meat options. Thank you for such a lovely time.
Quick lunch with grandchildren. Ordered kids food at the bar before our food, they aren't good at waiting, this was served quite quickly, our food followed on which was fine. Standard chain lunch menu but that's what was expected.
Absolutely shambolic. Got a parking ticket as none of the signs are lit up so we had no idea as you couldn't see them in the dark. Staff incompetent. We ordered drinks and paid for them then she served 1 of the drinks and walked off without serving the other one to go into the kitchen to eat and came out chewing . Food was OK although they had no fish, which was annoying when you wanted fish and chips !! Then wrong food tried to be served to us. Then ordered more drinks which never came. So we chased those amd a guy came up to take another food order, but still with no drinks. When they came I had asked for Coca-Cola with no ice and it was a glass full of ice. The whole thing was an absolute joke a complete shambles from start to finish and really ruined the evening. Such a shame as its a lovely building and we had high hopes but certainly won't be going back. No-one seems to care
