I came here on a Groupon deal with my partner. We chose a 2.30 time slot. We opted for the glass of bubbly first. Then three varieties of sandwiches, scones and chocolate cup cakes arrived. The sandwiches were egg mayonnaise, ham and mustard and tuna. I did have scrape some of the mustard off as it was too much. I had the scones with clotted cream, no jam. Cup cake was so fluffy. We finished off with a strawberry gateau, which I picked around as I don't like strawberry jam /filling. Endless pots of tea. Great service, good value. We sat in the conservatory.

Just had a really tasty carvery here. Delicious meat and lush Yorkshire puds. Was impressed by the value as we got a carvery and dessert for a very reasonable price. Very nice, attentive staff too. A gem!

Staff friendly hotel not very nice at all. Toilet was between the bath and the wall and you touched both when you sat down. Bed felt like the mattress was so old we were going to fall off it!!! Parking was good.

Went for afternoon tea. Food was lovely. Staff very good. It was a bit chilly where they sat us but would definitely go again

Despite the average reviews, I was pleasantly impressed with the staff, breakfast and room quality. Sure, it's not the Ritz, but for a pleasant and friendly weekend break.... and comfy stay, you can't go wrong by staying here.
