Can’t fault the food or the service. I liked it that much, have booked to go again next week.
We went there for my Sons Birthday it was his choice. We have never been there before. It seemed nearly everyone there last night was celebrating a Birthday. The service was very good and the staff were very attentive. My youngest son is vegetarian and he enjoyed his meal and our food was really good and the presentation of the food was pleasing to the eye. I would definitely recommend this place and hopefully we will revisit it sometime in the near future.
There were a lot of young staff members who felt slightly under prepared. The taps didn't work in the toilets and when I asked about it I was given a wet wipe instead. The food was okay, some dishes were better than others. We went at a busy time of year so perhaps it'd be better at less busy timesFood: 4/5
First time at Franks, and won't be the last. Came here with friends for a double date, one of my friends had recommended it as they had been before. Everything was top notch, from food, to service, to atmosphere. Started with no.1 mussels. Cooked to perfection, with a sauce that was good enough to drink. For my main I had monkfish wrapped in bacon, I've only had monkfish a few times, but that was definitely the best experience I have had of it by far. It practically melted in my mouth. The gravy and veg accompanying it balanced it really well. For pudding I had the crêpe suzette flambé, which is a show as well as a treat as it's lit at the table with I think brandy. Very orangey flavour but not overpowering. Service was really great, managed to get the name of our server at the end of the meal. Have to thank Poppy for her service! Additionally, this is one of only a handful of places that serve fruit beers, so I was very impressed with that. The raspberry one is my personal favourite. For all of this the price is very good, a little more expensive than a chain, but well worth it.
I visited Frank's for the first time last week and I already can't wait to go back. The restaurant has such a cosy feel about it and the staff were really friendly. If you visit Frank's you've absolutely got to order from the Mussel menu - I went for the classic garlic creamy sauce with chunky chips to dunk in - delicious!Food: 5/5
The little angry owner “middle Frank” I think he called himself. Is some what a disgrace. If my son or daughter worked in this place and I was to hear him speak to the way to them he did this evening, on three separate occasions, I would knock the fella clean out. As a table of 5 not busy staff and food was amazing, but when I challenged frank on his management skills his reaction was just as unsavoury. I urge not to let your sons or daughters work here the geezer is a grade “A Bell End” I won’t be coming back as it’s a shame because food and service was good .
Lovely lunch. Didn’t think I’d get full on sea food but I sure did. Lovely place. Great service. Quick and efficient. Not overpriced either.
Good choice of mussels on the menu, plus a nice range of starters and other main courses. A couple of decent Belgian beers on tap. Very friendly waiting staff.
Wonderful experience at Frank's Restaurant in West Malling, very nice atmosphere, excellent food, friendly attentative staff , one small point could do with a larger selection of soft drinks & beer.Food: 5/5
Rustic, family run, country side restaurants should be available everywhere. Franks is an excellent example. Walking through the doors of the historic building you are introduced to its ceilings and beams at varying heights. There is loads of space, but make sure you reserve a table prior. The setting is romantic with its intimate lighting and humble tables. Service is respectful and perceptive. Their explanation of Franck’s Restaurants offerings is precise. The food is exceptional and excellent value especially on special Tuesday and Thursday. The mussels of course being their speciality, which can be prepared every which way imagined. Served with a side of baguette or fries. Delicious.
