Well were do i start! it was my wedding anniversary so i decided to book a romantic weekend stay for two nights which included the use of a classic Morgan car for the day we arrived Friday tea time and was overwhelmed by the welcome we received. we had a few drinks in the bar before being shown to our room for the next couple of days. as it was a surprise for my wife she had no idea of what was to come. the room was clean and had that homely feel and a welcoming chilled bottle of bubbly was in the room awaiting us. then i let my wife know that on Saturday we had a classic Morgan car for the day. she was over the moon (as she immediately called me Parker and i would need to get a cap) we then went down for dinner the restaurant was busy as it was a Friday night but this didn't stop the staff looking after us. the food is fantastic wholesome and lots of it cooked to perfection, proper pub food. yum yum. Alex the manager then gave me a demo on how to take the soft top down and other details on the Morgan so we could get straight of in the morning we also had a hamper with tea or coffee and cheese pickles and biscuits and two lovely baguettes. we had a lovely day out at the lakes and Barmouth. returning round about tea time. breakfast was one of the best English breakfast I've had in a long time, the steaks and lamb are that popular you might want to order as early as possible. on the whole we had a fantastic few days having good food friendly staff who will cater for your every need and driving the Morgan which can be booked at the pub, a big thank to Alex, the waiting staff and the chefs who work hard to produce top quality food thank you for making our wedding Anniversary special x x x love from Darren & Amanda Stevenson see you soon!!!

Friendly atmosphere, excellent carvery with generous portions of quality meat and good selection of vegetables.
