I've been here multiple times now and is definitely my favourite place for pizza. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly.nnIf you’re looking for a proper pizza that actually tastes like the ones in Italy, this is the spot. If you have a sweet tooth then deserts are phenomenal too.nnIt’s a nice quiet restaurant where you can actually hear the person across from you without having to shout over loud music.
Just wanted to come on here as I came in on Tuesday with a friend and our children and I can’t express how much of a lovely time we had. We were told it would be best for us to sit on the end of the large table as we had a pram which was perfect for us. Our food was great and our coffees came within a few minutes, as we were leaving the young waitress had noticed we were trying to clean up the kids mess and she told us it was absolutely fine & to leave it and she would sort it normally we get snarled at when the kids make a mess with their food, she even gave the kids some magnets to play with which they loved. It was a really nice atmosphere and not too busy at the time . We will be returning! Many thanks x
I can't get enough of this place #Old Bank Coffee & Wine Bar. The staff are always tentative to our needs without being intrusive. The pizza's are the best in town and the draft beer is well looked after.nRecently I tried a breakfast there and it didn't disappoint, 10/10 every time I go.nnThanks everyone at The Old Bank
Writing on behalf of my daughter -nnWe came out for lunch here, my daughter had recommended it as she had been before but me and my son hadn’t. We got in and sat at a table, we went up to order you have to pay for everything beforehand and everything was fine. My daughter ordered the tuna, red onion and cheese toastie there was no description on what was in this other than what is listed above. When it came it was I would say atleast 50% mayonnaise. This is fine, I know tuna melts often include mayonnaise, she doesn’t mind this as it’s often mixed it and you can barely taste it. However, it was quite watery and she took one bite and didn’t like it. She went up to the desk to say she’s really sorry but it doesn’t say on the menu that there would be mayonnaise added into this and she doesn’t like it. I just want to add that I am aware having mayonnaise in a tuna melt is completely normal! And that’s fine, this review isn’t anything on the food/chefs. Everyone has different preferences and I’m sure 90% of people would’ve been absolutely fine with it. The reason I am writing this review is because when she took it to the desk to return it to say that she doesn’t like it, instead of the waitress asking if she wants anything else instead, my daughter said she felt she was rude and dismissive. She took the plate away from her, said ok and started to walk away. My daughter said she apologised again and just explained the situation and still there was no ask if she wanted to swap this to anything else, for them to remake it for her or for us to be refunded. She came and sat back down with us with nothing to eat, we thought the waitress may have been busy and may come over to us or a manager/supervisor may come over to speak to us to ask if there was anything else they can do but no one came. Not only that, but no one came to check on either of our other meals that we had either, which is common practice for restaurants/cafes. My daughter just had to sit there and watch us all eat. Even when we were leaving and walking past the counter to exit, no one spoke to us or acknowledged us. To summarise, I don’t have any issue with the food as a whole, the atmosphere was nice, our meals that we had were both fine. I just feel, as someone who worked in hospitality and managed a team of staff, that the service here was disappointing today. Which is a shame, because every other time my daughter has been she said it’s been great.nnUPDATE - I’ve just been looking through the other recent reviews and there seems to be a pattern with rude staff here. Hopefully this can be sorted soon before they get more negative reviews!
I went in yesterday for the first time in about a year left it so long because we weren't impressed last time. Immediately we placed our order we were met with almost a sneer from the girl behind the counter when we asked a question! No smiles, just looking at us like we were stupid... honestly, just rude. We ordered coffee and sat down but noticed that the place was dirty - crumbs all over the floor and run down scruffy furniture. That's definitely the last time we visit and will not recommend to anyone. The coffee was actually nice but way outweighed by rude staff.
