we had a walk from shevington to the vale. was so nice to be able to sit outside on a lovely day. we ordered from the cafe part and the food was lovely. staff where also lovely and friendly and helpful. would definitely recommend it here, won't be my last time going. great atmosphere and I've got to say they've made it look fantastic .

I arranged a meal for a group of ten people on the 22/12/22. The evening was enjoyed by all. The food was plentiful, hot and beautifully presented. We had a range of dishes, all were delicious. Our server Harry was polite, friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to all at the vale. Vegetarian options: One vegetarian who said the veg bake was excellent Parking: Plenty of parking Dietary restrictions: We had a couples of requests. All catered for without question
I called into the Vale Restaurant at Orrell this evening with my granddaughter, after she had attended her enrollment evening at the John Rigby College close by. We just wanted to treat ourselves with hot drinks and cakes before we set off for home... and what a treat it was. We had a supreme latte, a supreme drinking chocolate in two of the largest glasses I have ever seen, and cakes to die for. We even bought cakes to take home. The Manageress Gill was absolutely lovely. She was so friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and she made you feel so welcome. The decor inside the restaurant was tastefully modern, bright, and beautifully clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. The bill was pleasantly less than we expected. We will return very soon to savour the afternoon teas and the evening dining experience. Well done Gill - your attention to detail definitely made our visit memorable!!
I used to visit here regularly with my late partner before the renovation . This was my 1st visit since the renovation and was brought here by friends for my birthday and retirement. I couldn't believe the transformation! It's wonderful! Just wish my partner was still here to have seen this and enjoyed the experience with me. Sadly I don't drive so will have to wait until someone can bring me again - can't wait!!
I recently the coffee shop with a friend and I was highly impressed with both the price and quality of food. The service delivered by Maureen was fantastic throughout. 100% would recommend. We will be returning soon to try out the restaurant! : Parking: Ample parking!
Had a lovely experience at the coffee shop thanks to maureen, her customer service was excellent! She really exceeded all expectations by proving her own recommendations and bring a sense of humour to the service! The quality of the food was impeccable and reasonably priced! Will definitely be returning.
Second visit to this friendly place. We both had ploughman’s lunch which were huge and delicious! Great staff help too and we could take the dog into the coffee house with us! Perfect lunch, highly recommended.
No food order was taken until 12:30 after being told no orders until 12:00, why couldn’t you take the order in preparation before 12:00 service begins.this delayed the whole service, salt and pepper chips were not , but garnished with chilly sauce, steak banquet was wet underneath from the salad and a very poor quality steak portion. Definitely frozen oven chips and overall lack of proactivity meant that we waited from 11:30 until 12:30 before our order was taken.
Very dry breakfast. You only get a small pot of beans no matter the size of breakfast. Had to eat dry hash browns. The egg was overcooked and dry. The toast was cold which didn’t melt the cold hard butter that was supplied with it. The only good thing on the plate was the sausages. For the price I would have expected better
