Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The March Hare - so much so, I knew I had to come on and leave a lovely review! My friend Paula and I went for dinner at The March Hare on Friday 28th November - and what a wonderful gem this place is! The building is absolutely stunning - both inside and outside - and even the lane you drive down to get to the restaurant is so magical with all the Victorian lamps lining the road! Also a fantastic atmosphere inside this charming country pub - it's huge inside, but still has this lovely, cosy, warm and welcoming atmosphere/vibe when you walk in, as the restaurant is split up into all these wonderful alcoves and cute dining areas so lots of choice depending on the vibe you are looking for. This country pub has a lovely manor vibe, and the decor is particularly charming. The food was also absolutely amazing with lots of great choice on the menu, and service was truly superb as well as quick. Given the fantastic location, the wonderful service, and the very very lovely and welcoming staff - this place really is excellent value for money, and I will definitely be back again on my next visit! I have to give a special shout out to the amazing Gav Paula and I still talk about your lovely Irish accent!! who I believe is the manager / in charge thank you again for being so friendly and welcoming!, and also our very lovely and very friendly server Matthew, who was absolutely brilliant and you know what Matthew, you have a great accent too!!
We visited on a quiet Thursday afternoon. The bar staff were very friendly and chatty. We decided to stay and eat. I ordered the salmon fishcakes but was told they were haddock on this occasion and was not informed of the price increase. Hubby ordered the pie of the day which was steak in red wine. Both nicely presented.
My friend and I arrived earlier than our booking and were warmly welcomed by a very friendly chap called Joe, who immediately made us feel at ease. The service from the outset was excellent.nThe food was gorgeous. I had the pate starter followed by the ribeye steak and both were really enjoyable. Another member of staff Matthew, was also very chatty and friendly, which added to the overall experience.nThe only reason I haven’t given five stars is due to the wait time for food, which was over 45 minutes. Aside from that, it was a very pleasant visit and somewhere I would happily go again.
Visited the March hare to celebrate my mums birthday with the grandchildren. Nothing was too much trouble - Joe and Jess were great ensuring the kids had everything they needed in letting us order their food as soon as we arrived to plenty of tomato sauce!! Kids meals were fantastic - my little girl loved the chicken nuggets and is such a fussy eater. Took advantage of the weekend menu and steak main was well worth the money spent.nWas great to have a large table where we didn’t feel the large party was disruptive to others dining experience. Would highly recommend. Thanks for having us!
Amazing Sunday roast, we all had the beef and it was cooked perfectly, gravy was good and all the trimmings. Well worth it!nLara our waitress was so lovely and attentive. Will be back again!
