Such a lovely pub restaurant, tucked away down a country lane. Great ambience, service excellent, bar man Alex so friendly and down to earth, and very accommodating, the whole team that were on actually on Fri evening. We were out celebrating my aunts birthday and I struggle terribly with anxiety and group outings some days, and was having a bit of a bad week with my anxiety but the team were so lovely and looked after me in a really personal way, paying attention to my requests and just overall exceptional customer service. Highly recommend this place in terms of customer service. And the food was lovely too, my mum said the lamb was melt in the mouth, fall off the bone. My husband said the fish was also top quality. Thank you for the amazing food and evening.
What a secret little gem this pub is!! Lovely outdoor areas to sit, right by the river, proper quaint, and quiet! Really good food too, it’s a bit more exp than standard pub food but well worth it! Manager Gav was super friendly to us and to our kids too. Can’t believe we’ve never been here despite driving past the sign hundreds of times, we will defo be back!
Been here a few times over the years and never had a bad meal to date.nnToday as a party we ordered Lasagne, the katsu rice bowl and the bacon chop. Everyone enjoyed their meal, I had the lasagne and it was delicious and a decent portion.nnWe were served by Nathan - the service was prompt but not overbearing or rushed. We will be back again for sure as we have returned over the years.
Had a really lovely time having a well over due catch up with my friend.. services was fantastic really enjoyable experience.. extra special thankyou to Joe who made us some lovely cocktails.. we will see you again soon
I visited today for a catch up lunch with my friend and his mum, and we had a lovely time. They both had the pizza and I had the lentil cottage pie. I’m a meat eater but found the vegan cottage pie so tasty and a great alternative that’s not too heavy in this hot weather. The pizzas also looked amazing. We were served by Gav who was very warm, friendly and attentive, he chatted with us about our day and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend!
