This was a great place to stay..staff so friendly. .good food home made..just a couple of small tweaks needed.. but minor...better pillows would be great. I would go back and would recommend...that's if they let me after giving karaoke a blast ha ha Thank you all

The staff here are really nice and friendly. The building was beautiful too. The only slight problem was that the service was very slow, but there were several parties going on and a band performance at the same time and staff were very busy. They appologused profusely and were the nicest staff I've come across in a while. Food was phenomenal when it arrived and not overly priced like some places. Overall it was a great experience and would go again, but would probably check if there were other events going on at the same time first.

Very highly recommended. Good food cheap drinks and very friendly staff. We stayed over some of our VW campervan pals in the car park. They made us feel very welcome.

Great place to be. Warm, friendly and traditional pub with a modern menu. I had the roast beef dinner amd its was gorgeous. Loved the setting and gardens oh and it's haunted too so might have to spend the night at some point!

Initial introduction was not good as staff member who checked us in was very busy so we did not get the best welcome, we had a groupon deal which said we would get coffee and cake on arival when we inquired about this we were told that this service was not provided by the hotel and the groupon deal was incorrect. (We did get a coffee eventually but the staff member was not pleased about having to do it ) The shower was not great as it did not sit in the holder properly. Aside from the disappointing first impression the food we had was good and the rest of the staff seemed a little more friendly.
