Story

Welcome to The Lyttelton Arms at Hagley

On the edge of the Clent Hills, this little pub is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Our traditional pub building has been stylishly refurbished making it the ideal place to find a cosy corner and take time out whilst enjoying some of our Chefs seasonal dishes and our great selection of wines, ales and lagers.

Inside you will find roaring log fires, comfy armchairs to while away the afternoon and an open bar with a unique dining room.

Brilliant place! Very nice inside. Cool decor, quite minimal lighting, spacious table space and seats. Food was very nice! Not exactly cheap but you get what you pay for! Good service, maybe a little slow at collecting plates and seeing if we wanted desserts but it was overall very good!

Negatives First, no salmon for my first date! I had to try and impress her other ways! Salmon should be available for a Saturday evening, Positive, we both had a superb meal and were waited on by a very bright nice young lady, studying history at Exeter uni', who engaged very well with us. Great vibe in your restaurant, full of happy people. Thank you, we'll be back!!!

Mothers day 3 course menu. I don't eat fish or cheese was therefore restricted chose soup two in the party could not eat as too spicy and this was not stated on menu. Woodland salad was not good the green shoots were so tough I could not cut or eat them. The only choice in puddings (due to personal circumstances )was one which was fine but I was informed not available l expect regardless of time in the day to have the same choice as any customers. Another pudding served to person in our party the base was so hard he could cut through it. Then informed chocolates would be put on bill so we may as well have them!! At bar referred to as mate and when served one course to be called darling. This is not professional. I have put this on a feed back form but been ignored I would not complain on the day as our children had treated two mothers to this evening out. I did expect more of the Littleton arms and it did spoil a special meal and evening out for us.

Very nice place inside and out. Sat outside on a beautiful sunny day and was very busy. The food was Ok, but expected it to be better than it was. Maybe just a one off and will definitely return if ever in the area.

Went along for a Sunday roast and... wow! What a roast! Having read some less-than-positive reviews, I wasn't sure, but we had absolutely no problems with anything. The food was beautiful and in generous portions. The service was very swift and high quality. My only advice to visitors would be to book in advance - it was VERY busy around lunch time on a Sunday. Absolutely happy to recommend and will definitely be going back. It IS a little pricier than some, but for us at least - it delivered.
