Went lunchtime mid week. Barmaid was pleasant enough but very slow. Problem in the kitchen due to an oil spillage. Ok that cannot be helped but when food finally arrived my companions chicken was so tough he couldn't cut it. Terrible experience I am a carer, my companion has dementia, it was his birthday. Will not be returning I'm afraid.

Have been using the pub regularly for many years but is now at it's worst ever. The service can be very slow and the landlady is rarely seen particularly after 5pm. Have eaten 1 night a week for several years with friends but last week was the final straw the food was a disgrace almost burnt to cinder when eventually received

Still waiting after 45 mins for food. Sauces brought to table out if date. Needs a good clean!

Food is very good and reasonably priced, beers not bad either, friendly helpful staff.

Been drinking here for over 30 years, it's about time it had a decent makeover and a decent beer garden . It's sad to see how it has gone down hill, come on marstons spend some £ on the place and look to the future. Good luck to the new landlady
