Visited here for the first time since its refurbishment from when it was a carvery. The decor inside is modern whilst holding that vintage feel. The location has dining huts on the exterior also. The customer service from the team was excellent with quick friendly service throughout. It is noted that there was bar service only and no table service. The drinks in regards to cocktails could have tasted better as one of the ones we ordered was a funny colour and tasted a bit off. Overall I would visit again however.
Never been before but saw that it had just been refurbished. We had the 2 for £16 I think steaks on Thursday and they were lovely. Clean, staff were friendly and reasonable prices.
I organised the party of 17 Christmas dinner and one of our members leaving get together. My main course came over 2 hours after the starters, in general it was hot and good but Yorkshire's were like rubber and it was sold as having sprouts and roast parsnips, neither were on my plate see photo. The problem at this venue is not about quality, it is obvious they are under staffed to try and anywhere near cope. I asked about staffing , and they said they had plenty of willing staff available but the head office "wont" let them put them on shift. This is going to be the death nell of this venue, I stopped bringing our Society there before due to similar problems in the past. This was their second chance and told them that when I booked it.....oh dear. The manageress did profusely apologise and had offered our group a round of drinks and explained they had problems in the kitchen....as maybe but that does not help front of house. She did, however, as we were leaving refund the money for our main courses with further apologies, what else could she do ? It is the fault of her seniors at head office not letting her run it with the staff she wants and needs. It wont be her or her teams fault if this closes through lack of customers. Upper management TAKE NOTE !
A friendly welcome with a smile. Polite & helpful staff and a nicely decorated pub.. Love the outdoor pods, though could do with fold down sides on a windy but sunny day. Great choice on menu for all tastes & a fair price for most things. Nicely decorated too.
Absolutely fantastic now that the pub has changed hands! Great food, great prices, great atmosphere. The £30 deal on a Friday for 2 course meal and UNLIMITED beer, prosecco or cocktails is brilliant. If my liver could take it, I'd do it every Friday!! Great staff- there was a young man who served us on the bar and he was extremely upbeat, making the whole experience one to remember and ensuring we will return. I didn't take note of his name unfortunately, but will update my review when I re-attend and ask for his name!
Been eating and drinking on and off for 30 years under various owners. Lovely, friendly staff. Great selection of beers at reasonable price. It's family friendly, welcoming and nice the visit. Had lunch over Christmas festive period. Food quality good and big portions. Friendly and efficient service. Would definitely recommend.
What you'd expect from a chain pub, but that's a good thing. Food and drink can be ordered from the bar or from the app, service is good, food quality is good, amenities are good. Can't fault it really. Just remember to put your car reg on the tablets at the bar the car park is owned by a 3rd party, who will HAPPILY sting you if you forget.
I haven't been for a while. It is not a carvery anymore which is what we went for. The lasagne that my daughter had was hard in places as it had been microwaved. And the salad was extremely dry due to really hot plates. I am sorry I don't like to give a negative view, but I have to say I wont be returning there. However the staff were lovely and helpful and did their best.
Good service great food good atmosphere and reasonable price xx
The food was great i had gammon, eggs, chips and peas. Hot and very tasty. I had a pint of proper job and that was nice and the staff were very friendly too. And to boot, the prices are very good too. So we'll done and thanks
