Always a great place to spend time and dine with friends/family.nVery spacious seating areas, always friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of parking. The food is excellent and we will be returning again.nAs of writing this review the inaugural Oktoberfest menu has started and I couldn't be happier !
I recently visited The Longshore in Shoreham, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, nothing about the meal or the service made me want to return.nnThe food was poorly prepared and lacked flavor. Dishes that should have been simple to execute arrived either overcooked or underseasoned, and presentation was sloppy. For the prices charged, I expected at least some care in the kitchen, but it felt rushed and careless.nnThe service was equally frustrating. Staff seemed uninterested and inattentive, making it difficult to even flag someone down for basics like water refills or condiments. There was no warmth or hospitality, which only added to the sense that customers weren’t valued.nnThe atmosphere itself might have been a redeeming factor, but even that felt flat—dimly lit and uninspired, with no energy to make up for the other shortcomings.nnIn the end, the combination of bad food and bad service made this a place I could never recommend. There are plenty of better dining options in Shoreham, and I won’t be returning to The Longshore.
I entered the pub and was impressed by the homely decor, it was a very comfortable atmosphere and I felt very welcomed right off the bat.nI ordered my food on the app, and it came out promptly, along with my drink. The servers were friendly and nothing was too big a problem for them. Overall a great experience, and I would come back again.
Me and my son really fancied a roast and we were not disappointed. 2 lovely roast beef dinners, beef was so good great portion. Served by Alan and Karen what a comical pair made us all laugh. Great selection of drinks place looked lovely for Xmas not over the top just right! What a great place thank you for a lovely evening
I had the Katsu Burger & proper chips. The burger was excellent & the chips were just the way I like them; crunchy on the outside & well cooked & fluffy on the inside. My server Mags was a friendly & cheerful lady.
