Nice venu with good food. Went with a friend for Sunday lunch but we just ordered a small plate from the menu: crab salad which was delicious. The menu was short and with just a few options including the traditional Sunday roasts. Drinks were okay but I found it a bit expensive. Parking is outside the venue but be careful going in and out as it's located next to a busy roundabout in Shoreham by sea. The place definitely needs a cleaning to some spider webs on the lamps and windows. Overall a good place to visit.
Im personally not a burger fan and I find the plant based burgers too “ meaty”… as vegetarian for 22 years and vegans for 19 years… we’ve had good and bad vegan food. This chickpea burger was without doubt the best we’ve tasted. It was so so lovely. Not dry and full of flavour. The chips were cooked to perfection too and portion size not too big or snall. Service was friendly and food prompt. The views across the water were beautiful and we loved that it was dog friendly. A really great experience for us. We will be back.
nnBridge Over Troubled Waters? Not Here!nnVisited The Bridge Inn in Shoreham-by-Sea and let me tell you, this place is a riot! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a good time. The decor is a quirky mix of nautical and nice and the beer? Well, let’s just say I found my new happy place. The staff were hilarious, cracking jokes and making everyone feel like a regular. I even got into a friendly debate about whether the fish and chips were better than my mum’s they were, but don’t tell her!. If you’re looking for a place to laugh, drink, and maybe even dance a little jig, The Bridge Inn is your spot. Cheers to good times and great pints!
Welcomed by very friendly staff, love this! A couple of us met for lunchtime drinks and some good food. We had a selection of starters rather than a dish each, and enjoyed sitting out the back which was great, with a great selection of covered and uncovered seating, looks good too. The interior desperately needs updating but I appreciate that it's not a simple, or cheap job, especially in these current times for pubs.nnThe food was generally very good. We had the mussels which were great, and well presented, a great source and some crispy bread. We also had the chicken starter which was nice, with a lot of flavour on the outside of the chicken but not really in the chicken itself, still lovely though. The crispy calamari starter we ordered was more soggy than crispy which was a shame but it was still tasty and portion sizes were good portion sizes with all the food were good, and some fries which were great. Two pints and plenty of food came to around £28.nnOverall a very good experience, we enjoyed our time chilling, chatting, eating and drinking. Once again I would like to point out that the customer service was superb, some eateries need to go down there for lessons.nnI would definitely go back, especially on a nice sunny day or evening.
I have taken one star from the food as although my fish and chips were well cooked it was very salty.nStaff were excellent.nI have taken a star from the atmosphere as although there is a very nice 25% off for silver savers Mon to Thur it was very cold in the pub and not tempting to have a leisurely meal and drink.nGreat to have gluten free options.
