My mixed grill arrived and really looked good. The chicken was just Luke warm. The waiter said, our chef will warm it up for younI said, no he won't he should no better. No sweet course as they didn't have itnBecause it's a new menu, we were told. That was Saturday and now it's Tuesday evening and I haven't eaten since. Still in bed, had paramedics here twice and even our local GP. It's all sounding like food poisoningnAll the tests not back yet. But here is a pic of what it looked likenWhat a wonderful birthday treat never to be forgotten..
I hadn't been to the Swiss Cottage in years and was pleasantly surprised.nIt has a large car park which was a great bonus for me.nThe food was very good, hot and cooked to order.nThere were a lot of choices and many special offers.nThey also had so many gluten free options.nMy friend said her meal was good and tasty.nThe staff were very attentive and there was a lovely warm atmosphere about the place.nI will definitely be returning especially for the Fizz Fridays offers
This pub/restaurant was surprisingly good. From the road, it looks a bit on the rough side, but go inside and you'll find a pub with a lovely relaxed atmosphere, no TV screens that I could see, and groups of families and friends obviously enjoying themselves. I had only one hour to eat, but the food came promptly, was tasty and well presented, and when I asked for peas instead of salad there was no problem. Out the back there's a fabulous lake, and plenty of space to sit. All good.
Not having been to the Swiss for ages was pleasantly surprised… the menu was amazing. So much to choose from and everything looked so delicious. I opted for the sausage and mash. I was amazed when I saw the sausages were my favourite fat ones. Nowhere do you get these other than here. Served with a load of delicious mash. Peas and surprised with a Yorkshire Pud filled with fried onions and dried onion topper. The sausages were amazing. As was everything. My partner chose the Hunters Chicken. Who said was very tasty and both such good value for money.nWe were made to feel so welcome by the staff and the manager who were very attentive.nCan’t wait to go back to the Swiss for sure..
