Very nice old pub. Good selection of local ale and cider. Fairly basic menu but all good quality. Great carvery too. Plenty of outdoor seating. Not exactly a beer garden but a large undercover area, ideal for smokers all year round.

Food and service outstanding. Being a coeliac I find it hard to find a pub when away that serves a meal that I can enjoy. Could not fault service or food and will definitely be back.

i had a vegetable curry, sauce was nice and hot (resembled a lidls one) as for the vegetables, 2 small spuds and loads of string beans. i honestly felt it was dinner time left overs. my daughters curry was again hot but nice. for afters i had chocolate fudge cake and my daughter had sticky toffee . both were just BURNT sponge cake with a sauce.. VERY DISAPPOINTING. staff were nice and welcoming

A rather mediocre experience. The food was bland, it took a very long time to arrive and the staff were not too knowledgeable about the menu. I would would feel more content with a microwave meal.
